Teddy is a little misunderstood. At first he seems a little standoffish. It takes him a few to feel safe. He can be a little crabby when it comes to touching his face, but after about a week his foster was able to clean his face. He just needs someone who will go slow with him. We would suggest no home with small children as he tends to snap when he is over stressed. We know it will take a special home for him and we won't give up until we find it.  ##2331176##

Stewie FINALLY was cleared for a grooming appointment after his medicated baths, dewormings, vaccinations, and antibiotics, and boy does he look good! Here he is showing off his haircut, and getting some attention from our volunteer Beth who loves getting visits from the pups while she’s helping out in the office! Stewie has a chronic cough, and he it totally deaf, but he’s loving life in Ollie’s Bed and Biscuit, our building for dogs with special needs that require a bit more time and patience while we help them heal from past trauma or neglect. Until a very patient home comes along who can handle a dog with a very persistent cough, and who isn’t housebroken, Stewie is happy to call ARF home!

Story
Charlie is a four year old, 16 lbs. male Shih Tzu who is shy and quiet. He has a beautiful black coat. He loves snuggling right next to you and looks up at you with complete adoration in his big, dark eyes. Charlie is pee pad trained and he never misses. He is working on going outside, which will be easy since he loves treats and rewards and being petted. He is great on his daily walks too. Charlie is very friendly and likes people and other dogs and can be playful at times. He is timid and shy, so it takes him a bit to warm up to strangers and will watch and assess them from a safe corner. Charlie needs a quiet house with a family who will be patient and continue to draw him out of his shell. He needs a home with another quiet dog to keep him company, and help him socialize.
