Sally is a very sweet 7 year old Shih Tzu. She can see but seems to have cataracts developing on her eyes. She came to us from a breeder that is trying to do the right thing and retire.   Sally is currently in a foster home so if you would like to meet her please contact the humane society to set up a time.   If you would like to meet any of our pets, they are available for viewing, every single day from noon until 3:30pm. We're so excited to have our little woolly bear transform into a dog! Lemongrass is a mix, possibly Shih Tzu, and is only around 10 pounds. He is male, 18 months of age, and what we consider, a little bit of a project! He came from a home with too many dogs and he obviously was not the one to receive much handling. He is as sweet as can be and tries to take everything thrown at him in stride. He is a timid guy and we are working on his confidence. He does great with other dogs and has been exposed to cats. He is willing to be held without a fuss and simply needs loving attention to come out of his shell! He was full of matted hair on intake so Lemongrass received his shave-down summer haircut to start over and grow a healthier coat! He is precious but will require a family that is extra patient as this very timid little guy will need to learn the ways of the world! Story
Patch was born on October 9, 2023. He is less than 1 year old. He was bought from a Teddy Bear breeder in Indiana. He is a mix between Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise, so he does not shed and is considered hypoallergenic. Patch is a super friendly, happy dog who loves all people, kids, and dogs. He loves to play and run around with other dogs. Behavior with cats is unknown. He is up-to-date on all shots and is neutered. Patch needs to be rehomed for 2 reasons: 1) he is too rambunctious for the senior dog he is homed with and 2) he is resistant to potty training. Crate training has yet to be explored for potty training issues.
