Teddy is a sweet senior who turned up at a local shelter as a stray.  We think he is about 10yrs old.  Teddy is visually impaired, but doesn't let that stop him from getting around.  He is still adjusting to his foster home and as he settles in he gets comfortable cuddling.  Teddy is good with other dogs and cats.  Due to his age and vision, we don't recommend a home with very young children.  He his working on his housetraining as he continues to acclimate to his new foster home.  Finding himself in the shelter at his age has been tough on Teddy - he will need an adopter who is willing to let him adjust to his new environment.  Your patience will be rewarded with a new best friend.     Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match. ##2264982##

Irish is currently working on her house and crate training; however, she will need more training, patience, and love. She`s yet to experience the joys of children`s company, so her compatibility remains unknown. Irish is friendly and loving, always eager to make new friends. Her gentle nature and playful spirit make her a delightful companion. Her beautiful soft fur is just a bonus to her endearing qualities. Adopting Irish means inviting into your life a loyal friend who will bring joy, laughter, and endless love.
