Teddy is a sweet senior who turned up at a local shelter as a stray.  We think he is about 10yrs old.  Teddy is visually impaired, but doesn't let that stop him from getting around.  He is still adjusting to his foster home and as he settles in he gets comfortable cuddling.  Teddy is good with other dogs and cats.  Due to his age and vision, we don't recommend a home with very young children.  He his working on his housetraining as he continues to acclimate to his new foster home.  Finding himself in the shelter at his age has been tough on Teddy - he will need an adopter who is willing to let him adjust to his new environment.  Your patience will be rewarded with a new best friend.     Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match. ##2264982##

Meet Sushi! Sushi is a super sweet dog! He is doing great at his foster home. He gets along very well with other dogs and like to play. Sushi is definitely a lapdog and loves human affection He is not a fan of the crate and would live an owner who is home more often than not. . Sushi is  very well potty trained even goes to the door to go out back when he needs to. This previous boy would make a wonderful companion and can't wait to find his forever home! Murphy was found wandering on 1/10/25, covered with snow and ice. After some TLC, he has recovered and is quite spunky! His eyesight and hearing are limited. He is house broken but requires frequent potty visits outside. He is sweet and loving. He wanders through the house looking for you and just wants to be near. His favorite is on the couch next to you🥰 He loves walks on leash and goes quite far! He love car rides and does fabulous. He is also crate trained. I can only foster him a bit longer. If you have time and love, please give Murphy the home he deserves 💕
