You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Gertrude or Gerti for short is an adorable and sweet senior gal. She was surrendered by her owner after personal medical expenses became too much. Gertrude is currently undergoing treatment for her skin, ears and eye issues. She is a dream on a walk, with dogs, with people, you name it she's perfect for it. She originally was not a fan of her eye and ear medications and it took a little finessing to complete those. She is already feeling so much better as she has been super social and playful with anyone she has interacted with. She is realizing that the medications are not actually hurting her and feeling better so she has been doing well with her eye medications already so I know it will not take much longer to for her to understand that only good things are coming from people giving her these weird things. She will have a lifelong eye and skin medication, She came with matting and extremely overgrown nails into her pads, her little feet are still swollen and she has a foot soak a few times a week for the wounds that were inflicted. She adores all attention so she loves all the grooming. She was a little wiggly for nails originally but hey, who wouldn't with the pain she was in before. She is absolutely soaking up all the love and attention she is getting. She will need someone knowledgeable in administering various medications for dogs. Due to his older age he does have some health conditions, but they are all manageable. He has a 5/5 heart murmur and on Vetmedin for his heart, Cyclosporine for his eyes and a skin medication like Cytopoint or Apoquel. Rubbles is great on a leash and great with all adults and children.  He would be a great additional to any family who wants to love on a senior dog. Danny is a 7-year-old, 13lb Shih Tzu mix. Danny is the laid-back, sweet pup you never knew you needed. His foster mom describes him as a "nice, wonderful companion." Danny is quiet, doesn't make much noise and will be independent in exploring his surroundings. He's very smart and is picking up on the routine of his foster home very quickly. On top of being intelligent, he's fully vetted, housebroken, crate trained, and is doing well learning to walk on a leash. Danny has a 5/6 heart murmur and dry eyes, so he will need to be on medication and eye drops for the remainder of his life, but that doesn't stop him from being the sweetest boy. Danny would do well in a quiet home where he can spend his time lounging around and loving life. Meet Baby. His name is actually Beau, but I’ve called him Baby so much, that that is the only name he responds to now. He’s such a sweet dog and gets along with anything and everyone. He was born on October 24th, 2022. He’s still just a baby. He needs someone that will spend lots of time with him. He’s a very good companion dog and loves cuddles, and even rolls over for belly rubs. I will say though, he’s not much for toys, he’d much rather just play with you or cuddle. He does occasionally play with toys if you are playing with him with the toys, specifically squeaky or rope or specifically like one shrimp squeaky toy I got for him through bark box.
