Story
Ari is an 11 pounds & 3 years old Shitzu, and he is the greatest little boy. Ari is always down to meet a new friend almost to a fault when other dogs are not nearly as excited to make his acquaintance. Except with cats, he doesn't understand them and yells at them. This is also why it is best to walk him in a harness, he does great on walks but if there is a cat on the walk he will pull to get to them.  Ari & his people will need to work on his walks and self control, that said, he could care less about dogs on walks which is a plus!    Ari loves to play with anything that squeaks and will happily busy himself with a toy to entertain himself. He loves to play with you and his toys too. He enjoys being the center of attention. He likes to play tug with his foster siblings and run around in the yard. He also loves a good game of fetch.   Supervision and clean space is important for Ari as he adjusts to a new home as he loves to investigate and put things in his mouth, especially when he is bored. A bully stick or frozen Kong works well in these situations. He is easily re-directed, so that's a good thing. He would be fine with older respectful children.   Ari  is happy to snuggle with his people on the couch, be held and give kisses or just lay easily and be brushed. He loves his grooming time with you!  He is comfortable having his feet and face wiped which is great with our rainy climate.  Ari does fabulous in the car!    Ari continues to work on house training and will need support with this in his new home.  He currently uses puppy mats, and is being weened off of them to go potty outside. Being a very treat motivated guy learning new things should be a breeze for him.  Ari was used as a breeding dog then dumped by his bad human owners, so given this,  Ari does not do well in crate as he most likely lived in one,  so at this time, we do not recommend crating him. He does however respond well to being in an area that is restricted with a baby gate or x-pen, like the kitchen area if you need to contain him.     Are you the family who is looking for this smart, happy and cuddly pup to bring into their lives? Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $425.00.  Ari is being fostered in the Portland area. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  . You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location or within the Portland metro area for a home visit,  and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and may be conducted virtually. Underdogs believes in positive and science based training from certified trainers and will recommend trainers in your area. For updates on all the Underdogs be sure to follow the Underdogs Rock Rescue Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UnderdogsRockRescueJanuary 6, 2025, 4:20 pm

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 1/11/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Maximus to our trip for the right home 💙 Meet Maximus 💙 He is almost 8 months of age, born on 5/12/24. He is a shih tzu/Maltese mix. He weighs pounds. He will be considered full grown in the next couple of months, but won't be to far off from where he is now which if you ask me is a pretty great size ☺️ He is neutered, microchipped, current on all of his vaccines, had a few baby teeth extracted at time of neuter, had a great overall physical exam with our vet, and has officially been cleared to find a home all his own ❤️ He is doing very good at house training, and has been on a schedule with us throughout the day that he has done wonderfully with. He currently sleeps in the crate at night, or to nap in during the day, and has no accidents at all in there and always sleeps peacefully throughout the night waiting patiently for you to wake up so he can join your day again ❤️ He is doing pretty well on the leash, as it's new to him. He does love that it takes him out of the home to spend time with his favorite human, so he is learning quickly that leash time is a very happy time to look forward to. He is a very smart little guy, and picks up things very fast, as he aims to please and is always looking for words of affirmation and praise ❤️ He is as sweet as can be! From the moment you meet him his tail wont stop wagging. He is kind hearted, and your ultimate snuggler. Wonderful with every single human, and animal alike. (Cats, dogs, and everything inbetween!!) He has a gentle soul, and one that you'll feel the presence of the second he is in your arms 💙 He isn't a barker at all. He is naturally calm, and serene tempered. Wonderful on road trips, and likes to have one paw on you at all times when traveling 😂 it's just kind of his thing 😊 He is EASY!! Don't let his age fool you for one second. He has an old soul, and is so amazingly incredible in every single way that it's not hard at all to speak of all that makes him great ❤️❤️ He is not high energy whatsoever and is just happy being in your lap, or arms ❤️ His prior owner had a senior dog, and brought him in with the intention to keep both her and her current dog company, but her senior dog didn't like the company of another dog and became stressed having to share her environment so his owner decided it was best to find him a home where he would be loved by everyone and every animal in it. His adoption fee is on our website under his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/maximus It covers his neuter, microchip/registration, his vaccines, his baby teeth that were extracted, the antibiotic shot given to aid in the healing of both neuter and dental, his exam with our vet, the care associated in the time he has been with us, his grooming costs, and the training we have personally done with him 💙

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 1/11/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Mikey to our trip for the right home 💙 Meet Mikey! He just turned 1 on 11/17/24. He is a shih tzu/poodle mix. He weighs 18.3 lbs. Yes, he is full grown and at a very healthy weight! He is a great size 💙 He is neutered, microchipped, current on all of his yearly vaccines, had a wonderful exam with our vet, and has been cleared to find a home all his own ☺️ He is house trained, and goes outside to use the restroom when he needs to. He has learned to communicate when he wants to go potty, and will bark to be let out of his crate if he is in there. He is crate trained and sleeps throughout the night in his crate, and has zero accidents. He would love to be on a bed aside his humans, or in bed if that's what you prefer but for now he is perfect in his crate at night so the choice would ultimately be his new adopting families ❤️ He is leash trained, and LOVES his walks. He is a socialite by nature, and loves to be out exploring any chance he gets. He would make an excellent companion, as he has a very easy going, go with the flow, down for anything, kind of personality. He is ALOT of fun! He loves to play especially with his ropes, and will happily fetch balls for you especially when he is being rewarded with pets and cuddles. He is amazing with all the dogs we have here and has been a friend to every single one of them, big or small. He is a true natural (yes, I have to say it again,) he is just that guy that everyone wants to know, yet only one will be blessed to say he is theirs ❤️ He LOVES car rides of any length and will happily enjoy any and all ventures you allow him to partake with you on. He is also a very CHILL guy and will happily lounge on a dog bed near by napping, or chewing on a fave toy. He also loves watching tv! So if you want a sweet guy to cuddle up to while watching a favorite show, or to just know you are in great company than Mikey if your guy every single time!!! He loves his spa days with our groomer, and is equally great at bathtime inbetween grooms. He just loves being a part of whatever you are a part of so if that happens to be bath day, then he is all in! His prior family sadly didn't have the time he deserved with their busy schedules both at work, and at school. They knew it would be a long time before either of them would be settled in their career and didn't want his life to be anything less than he deserved to have so they reached out to us to take him in and find him a great new human or family to call his own. His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/mikey It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration, exam with our vet, the care involved in the time he has been with us here these past couple of months, and his training we have personally done with him 💙

Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs.
