We believe Harper is around 3 to 4 years old as of December, 2024. She was dumped at a business dumpster at 3 am and was still standing there when workers arrived at their workplace. We had her examined at the Vet and she is blind. However, she doesn't require any medications right now for her eyes and she gets around the rescue like a champ. This girl has the best temperament and loves to be right with us. Cuddles are her favorite and she gets along great with other dogs here at the rescue. She is crate and house trained and does great loose in the house after she learns her new routine. We make a noise for her and she can find her way right back into the rescue after being let outside to potty. She also loves toys and balls. Harper was also around a 3 year old child in her foster home before she came to us. So, she should do well with any type of family. We just love her! She is spayed, current on shots, flea and heartworm prevention. Teddy is a sweet senior who turned up at a local shelter as a stray.  We think he is about 10yrs old.  Teddy is visually impaired, but doesn't let that stop him from getting around.  He is still adjusting to his foster home and as he settles in he gets comfortable cuddling.  Teddy is good with other dogs and cats.  Due to his age and vision, we don't recommend a home with very young children.  He his working on his housetraining as he continues to acclimate to his new foster home.  Finding himself in the shelter at his age has been tough on Teddy - he will need an adopter who is willing to let him adjust to his new environment.  Your patience will be rewarded with a new best friend.     Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. Meet Ming. She is a 4 to 5 year old Shiz tzu mix. Ming's life hasn't always been easy. She was tied to the door of the animal shelter one night where she spent it cold and afraid. Then she found us. This lovely girl came with some medical needs. She was covered in fleas causing her to have thnning hair on back which is growing back, bad teeth that had to be removed and she needed spayed.
