Charlie is an affectionate Shih Tzu mix who loves toys almost as much as he loves his people. He can entertain himself for quite a while, burying his toys under blankets and pillows, walking around with a toy in his mouth, or lying on his back holding a toy with his paws. He also loves cuddle, lap, and play time with his people and will gaze adoringly into their eyes. He enjoys meeting new people (especially if a treat is involved!), but he will stay at a respectful distance and approach them on his own time.    Charlie is a sturdy boy who weighs around 16 pounds. He enjoys being the center of his guardian's world, so we are asking that he go to a home without to many dogs because we want him to be spoiled!  Charlie does great with no accidents if he is let outside in the backyard every few hours like most dogs. He will go on indoor pee pads if necessary. Charlie prefers not to be left alone for too long, so we are asking for a home with someone home part of the day. For he's a jolly good fellow and we're thrilled he's ready now to find his forever home!  Jolly is a jolly 12 pound, 4'ish year old Shih Tzu mix.  He is in a foster home and has done well with both Percy the cat and two other OBG Alums in the home.  Jolly loves to play with toys and will retrieve them back to you.  Found as a stray, we don't have any background on Jolly, we do know that he loves to be in your lap and hanging out with is people.  He rode quietly in the car and walks nicely on the leash with plenty of pep in his step.  When left alone, he will "talk" so we don't think condo living is ideal for Jolly.  Now that Jolly is receiving good medical care, his hair is growing back in nicely.  To learn how to adopt Jolly, please email adoptme@cockerspanielrescue.com.  Jolly is located in Fairfax, VA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 10, 2025, 12:00 pm

Where to begin? I'll tell you about this dog named Bandit. He's around 3 years old. A Shih tzu mix, he wears a long, soft coat of black and tan, and weighs only 16 pounds. It's because of his small size that any children in your home should be at least10 years old. Small children don't always realize their own strength and might unintentionally hurt such a small dog. But there are many ways to hurt another, aren't there? Bandit is a wonderful dog who gets along with other dogs, kids and his foster's cat. Still, his previous owner took him to the vet to be euthanized because she &#194&#147no longer wanted him.&#194&#148 It hurts to even think about that, doesn't it? We're doing all we can in rescue to make him forget that, and we know you will, too. (TN, posted 12/11/24) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.December 15, 2024, 5:32 pm
