Story
If you are looking for a sweet treat, a Oreo is the sweetest, most loving little guy ever. His foster mom says thatnit takes less than a day for him to steal your heart. He is less than 2 years old and seeking his furever. He does great on a leash and will follow wherever you lead, right by your side. He loves exploring the backyard and his neighborhood on his walks. Being ypung, he’s ready to have adventures with you. But is ready to Snuggle as soon as you Are home. He is dog friendly and very easy going. His sometimes sassy poodle that lives in his foster home has no affect on him. When she was initially jealous, he just ignored her and walked away. He very chill around other animals and would not mind a furiend to play with. He likes to entertain himself with toys and isn’t picky about a type. Any stuffie will do. He is gentle and keeps it in his paws holding after he is done playing. He has the most perfect spotting pattern on his legs and feet. We were sad to have to cut off this beautiful fur due to horrible matting, but we’re so excited to reveal his beautiful spots. Oreo is fostered in Houston Tx, and ready to make the trip on our transport to you and start his new life. Please email Stephanie@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Scout is the sweetest little friend. He is 11 years old, and weighs 14 lbs. He is neutered, has his shots, is housebroken, and gets along with dogs, cats, and kids.  He trusts quickly and loves to stick close to his person. He absolutely loves his walks, and also going on car rides: he will stick his little face out the passenger window, standing on his tippy-toes, while his fur blows in the wind. He knows how to “sit” and “lay down” and asks when he needs to go potty.  He is quiet for the most part, though he does bark at other dogs and people while on his leash. When he is off the leash, he gets along with all dogs and people. He is a very smart and attuned little guy and learns very quickly. He has the perkiest walk; he loves to smell all the smells and then come inside and take a nap. Sometimes he will grab his own leash in his mouth as he runs to the door for a walk!  He sleeps well through the night (he does snore a little!) and is very well behaved.  He came to the rescue with severe allergies and very unhealthy skin, but has vastly improved since being on a prescription diet. He is currently being treated with medicated baths, just finished a round of oral anti-fungals for an ear infection, and can take an oral anti-itch medication when he needs it, which is rarely now. His once bald underbelly now has the cutest layer of fur growing back. It is expected that he will need more vet care, even though for now he seems to be balanced out. Someone interested in potentially exploring a holistic modality to his care would be especially wonderful.  Potential adopters must have a fenced back yard, no exceptions. He’d love a dog and/or cat friend, and can also be an only dog. A must is someone who enjoys walks outside — he absolutely loves walks. He also enjoys back yard time: he loves to run free, sniff, and lay down on the grass.  Preference to a home where he will be in someone’s company and get attention most of the time. He loves to sleep on the bed with his person and hates being confined to a crate. Potential adopters must have the financial means to take on his care.  He will bring so much love and joy to the right person or people. ##2067686##

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Suki from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 4 year old female Shih Tzu.  I am about 8 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,595 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application.     August 18, 2024, 11:13 pm

Story
Meet Violet, the sweet and affectionate 3-year-old Shih Tzu with a gentle heart. Violet is a bit of a follower and would thrive in a home with a confident dog to lead the way. She loves belly rubs and is very affectionate, always ready to lick her person with love. Violet can be scared of new situations but has made significant progress with leash walking and being outside. She's learning to go potty outdoors but still prefers to use potty pads in the playpen. Violet sleeps in the X-pen with her friend Poppy, though they don't cuddle up together. This little scaredy-cat can be nervous around men and new environments. She hasn't been observed around children, but it's likely she would be more comfortable in a home with older children who understand her need for gentle interactions. Violet is good with other dogs and sits well in the car. While not very toy-motivated, Violet does enjoy playing if Poppy leads the way and likes to chew on things (but doesn't steal socks or slippers). She is food-motivated, making training a bit easier. If you have a calm and patient home, preferably with a confident dog, Violet could be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet this tender-hearted pup and help her build the confidence she needs to shine! * Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Meet Poppy, the confident and curious 3-year-old Shih Tzu with a constantly wagging tail! This playful little girl loves toys, running outside, and soaking up affection-especially when it comes to belly rubs. Poppy is housebroken but will use pee pads if she can't go outside. Poppy sleeps comfortably in the XPen with her friend Violet and gets along well with other dogs and kids. She's a pro on the leash and sits nicely in the car, making her a great travel buddy. Just keep an eye on your socks and slippers-Poppy loves to chew on things and has a mischievous habit of stealing them. It's also important to monitor her closely, as she has a tendency to eat poop if left unattended. Despite her occasional naughty behavior, Poppy's sweet and playful nature makes her an irresistible companion. If you're looking for a loving, energetic, and affectionate addition to your family, Poppy is ready to bring joy and fun to your home. Come meet her and discover why anyone would be lucky to adopt this charming pup! * Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue.
