Skye is a striking tabby who is petite and leggy like a Broadway hoofer. She is flighty like an ingénue and needs her Rosie to ground her. Rosie helps clear away stormy clouds from the sweet Skye so the world is a rosier place for them both. Dara and her 2 siblings were left on the shady doorstep of a local vet in a box in early June. The vet tech that found them noticed a car at the far end of the parking lot. It left as soon as she picked up the box. Inside there were 3 dirty hungry kittens. There was a note inside from a finder who described herself as an elderly woman. She wrote that they appeared in her yard with no mama in sight. She said she had called multiple rescues and shelters but all were full. She said there was no way she could care for them and knew they needed care she couldn't afford. She hated to leave them anonymously but was fearful she would be turned away if she tried to deliver them in person. Born 5/10/2024 Dara’s brothers were free-spirited extroverts but Dara was a little more reserved. She watches before she joins in with her siblings or her humans. One day while I was doing kitty chores I realized she was scoping out the situation, wondering what on earth I was doing and debating whether to join in the fun. Unusually, the other fosters were elsewhere in the house and before I knew it she was doing battle with the broom, playing keep away with the mop, and dropping toy mice into the mop bucket. She continued to “work” along side me that afternoon but when I stopped for a break she too rested from her toils, crawling up into my lap, purring, and rubbing her face on mine. It was such a sweet glimpse into her nature and to see how much she enjoys one on one time. It would be easy to judge the woman who found Dara and her siblings and say she could have done more but at least she chose to not simply ignore these hot, weak, helpless babies. We are blessed as their fosters to have the resources she did not have. We wish she could see them now. Rupi is a gorgeous Siamese mix. True to her breed she is a bit stand-off-ish. You must earn her trust. She loves laying around on tables to soak up your smiles and praise. She is not a cuddle bug. I do not recommend having her around children or hyper animals. All she needs from you is food, a clean litter box and your adoration. She is quiet. Rupi has a cat friend here, Claire de Lune, whom she loves playing with. They chase each other and play hockey by swatting balls and toy mice all over the place. Born 3/11/2024 Rupi has really come out of her shell with Claire. They are ying and yang, complimenting each other nicely. Both sleep on my bed at night. If you are looking for a little light in your life Moon Beam is your cat. He is active and funny. He loves his tunnel and string and ball toys. He is very shy and a bit hissy until he knows you. Then likes being on your lap for pets. Proper introduction is necessary. Picky about food, he is fed Royal Canin pate or Purina Proplan for kittens. Meet Ruthie Siamese sweetie born 2011. Ruthie and her sister Sally’s mom died and dad had to move to an assisted living facility. These girls were loved and cared for but now are in need of forever homes to live out their golden years. Ruthie enjoys snuggling in boxes and taking long naps. She just wants to be near you and get head scratches. Ruthie is a picky eater. The only thing that is on her menu of choice is TUNA flavored wet food. Charlotte is a stunning white, grey and beige snowshoe Siamese. She is probably around 2 years old and still very youthful and playful. She was found outside a Fort Worth residents’ house just after having given birth to her kittens. Meowtown was contacted and we took her and her babies in from the elements when the babies were only one day old. She attentively and patiently tended to her babies, addressing all their needs with a mother's sense and love! Raising all of them into perfectly healthy and adorable tiny little tigers, she is now ready to find her very own human to love and care for her!! She will definitely reciprocate the joy, support and love that a furry companion provides! Born 6/12/2022 Charlotte is playful and energetic and loves to chase the feather toy that is at the end of a stick. She is courteous though and will wait patiently for her turn, allowing her little kittens to play first. Once they are done playing with it or when they have moved onto some other little entertainment, Charlotte pounces in the air to catch the bird-like feather! She also knows how to cozy up in her cat tree and spend time re-charging her energy for her next play. This young cat is affectionate and loves to be with her humans, following them around and snuggling next to them when they are lounging or even sleeping. Charlotte is also quite the chatter-box! She walks around talking every time someone is around to listen and even speaks in a little purr-y, sing-song-like voice. She loves to be petted and will gladly meet and welcome anyone that comes to HER house. She has received deworming and flea treatments. Charlotte is also spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She has tested positive for FIV but is healthy and expected to live a normal and long life.
