You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.found abandoned in the HEB parking lotMy name is Skittles and my foster mom found me abandoned in a HEB parking lot one day.  She asked around and people had been feeding me for a couple of years!  Once she caught me, she found out I ws microchipped, but when she located my owners, they had moved...and had left me behind.  So, being a cat, I found my way to HEB and relied on kind humans to feed me.  It took a while for me to trust my foster mom, and I'm still jump if you try to pet me too quickly.  Apparently, I wasn't treated all that great.Anyways, I think I'm ready to trust another human now.  I do get along with cats, but little children would probably make me nervous.  And my foster mom doesn't know about dogs since we don't have any here.  It'd be great if I could have my own family again, but I might take some tender, loving care at first.  Through my foster family, I've found out humans can be good....and a forever home would be awesome!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:45 pm

Story
Apple is a seal point Siamese female who is bonded to her sister Rainbow (57417221) and must be adopted with her. They do not seem to get along with other cats except for each other as they were bullied by a cat in their former home. They both love humans and to be petted! Their favorite thing is to have a cat tree, and they are playful, friendly and affectionate. Both Apple and Rainbow are special needs cats as they have Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions on some of their teeth. FORL is a condition where, for generally unknown reasons, cats develop holes in the enamel of their teeth, usually on the gumline. As time goes by the holes penetrate through all the sensitive layers of the tooth until the living tissue in the center of the tooth is exposed. Bacteria get into the tooth and cause infection. Unfortunately, there is no effective treatment for FORL lesions that saves the tooth. The best option is to remove affected teeth. Due to their condition, their adoption fee is waived by West Houston Subaru. Two wonderful cats! (CC 12-19-2024)This animal has been available at the shelter for more than 30 days and is now considered a VIP. The adoption fee is 50% off! -jc (3/6/25)

Story
Claire was a stray we took in January 2025. We attempted to find her owner by posting to several sights but were not successful. She was not microchipped. She is very loving and affectionate with people. She is a total lap cat! We began to introduce her to our cats and dogs and at first it seemed to be going ok. We found out she was in heat so we got her spayed. After bringing her home after surgery, she is no longer tolerant of our cats. She is aggressive towards them and has growled at the dogs. We are currently keeping her in a bedroom on her own to prevent issues with the other cats. We spend as much time with her as possible, but she is such a social, loving cat that this is not fair to her. She deserves a home where she can be with her people all the time. It's possible she could get along with another cat in time, but we have 6 cats and it is more than she can handle. Claire would be perfect in a single cat home! She also has all her shots and is now microchipped.

Story
We found Apollo in a raccoon trap at a paintball field when he was around 8 weeks old. He had a rough start; ringworm, parasites, a respiratory infection, ear mites..basically every kitten illness under the sun. We rescued him intending to make him part of our family as a companion for our first cat. At first, his rough play seemed like kitten energy, but over time, he became aggressive toward our first cat, trying to assert dominance. Apollo is incredibly loving, social, and adores people; he’s never met a lap he didn’t want to cuddle in. He is fixed, fully vetted, and up to date on shots; we’ve done all the hard work, and now he’s ready for his forever home. Sadly, we’ve realized we have two cats who both need to be the only cat in a home. If you want an affectionate, attention-loving cat, Apollo is perfect. He’d do well with kids and possibly dogs. He may also get along with another cat if he’s the dominant one. if you are looking for a purring machine, Apollo is the kitty for you!
