**This animal is part of Empty The Shelters program and has a reduced adoption fee!****Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you're interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-PetMeet Pesto! This unique looking gentleman came to the shelter with dental disease and stomatitis requiring surgery to remove all of his teeth. You may also notice that his eyes water sometimes, which we think is due to his eyelids having a slight curl inwards, which doesn't seem to bother him. Despite all he has gone through in his time with us, Pesto is friendly and outgoing and will purr as soon as you start to pet him! He is still young so we think once he settles into his new home he would love lots of toys to play with and a nice, cozy cat bed to curl up in. He will need an adopter willing to have established veterinary care so he can have regular vet checks to keep him nice and healthy. We don't know much about his history before coming to the shelter so he will need proper introductions to any resident pets in the home.

I've had a bit of a rough life in my short 2 years. I was living with someone who left me outside but no one knows exactly why. Then someone else brought me into their home but found out I was pregnant and couldn't keep me either. Luckily, another family took me in and I had one healthy kitten while with them. My baby has now found a good home and I need one of my own. I am now spayed (no more babies for me--yay!), microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for any parasites that might be using me as a host - no more bugs! As you can see, I have beautiful Seal Point coloring and I love, love, love attention! I will snuggle, sit on your lap, or let you hold me as much as you can as long as I can be with you. I get attached very easily. I have been around other cats and even though I growl a little at first, once we get to know each, I'm usually okay. I have also been around a couple of dogs but unless they're very nice to me, I am not a fan! I would probably be okay with kids as long as they know how to treat a kitty with love and attention - more pets for me!
