Bess, spayed female, 8 months old, 22-Lbs. If you would like to give BESS a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application About Bess: Bess and her siblings were found abandoned at a desolate area outside of a village where food was hard to come by. Surrounded by shrubs and bushes, their small bodies were infested with lice. All the puppies were loving and friendly. We were contacted to help finding home for these cuties. Despite her young age, Bess has a calm and gentle temperament. She is smart, super friendly and aimed to please: she is cuddly but also can wait by the side of her human patiently. No matter eating or walking, Bess minds her manner; never show aggression towards other dogs or cats in front of food or toys. Bess is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight; not a barker or chewer; and she responds to recall well. Adele appears to have coloring and size similar to a Smooth Fox Terrier which can have a white body with a black face but she also could have Chihuahua in her. She is an adult dog estimated to be 6 years old and weighs about 11 lbs. She was found on the streets and taken in by the rescue. Sometimes an adult dog takes a bit longer to find their family, but we recommend them. They come to you knowing what it is like to be on the streets alone and hungry. They have a gratitude in them for being rescued. When they understand after a few months that you are their family, their loyalty and love is immeasurable. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped. * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, January 11th from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered. Adoption Fee: $650 Tapioca is a 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier mix who can’t wait to provide the perfect mix of sweetness and love to her forever people! Tapioca was rescued from the shelter with several of her dessert pals when she was in an overcrowded kennel. Our volunteer took one look into her puppy dog eyes and knew we couldn’t leave her behind. Tapioca weighs 19 pounds and is just the perfect size for all the adventures you have planned. Ready for the sweetest dessert? Adopt Tapioca! Tapioca is a loving and snuggly gal who’s ready to provide all the sweetest ingredients needed for her family dessert! Tapioca adores her humans and is always ready to shower them in kisses and cuddles. She loves her toys and romps around the house with them as often as possible. As she has blossomed, she has also discovered her love for snuggles on the couch as her humans read a book or watch TV. Tapioca is the perfect dog for those who work from home as she loves being around her humans once she decides you are hers. Like any JRT, Tapioca is very playful and energetic for most of the day (until she is ready to take a long nap). She would be an amazing hiking or jogging companion with her gorgeous long legs. Tapioca’s dream home is one ready to shower her in all the love and affection she deserves. Tapioca is such a sweet girl who has so much to offer and we can’t wait to see all the adventures she will embark on in her forever home! Tapioca wakes up around 6 AM and goes out for a quick potty before she comes inside for breakfast. After she eats, she’s ready for her morning snuggles and kisses. She goes back and forth between foster mom and dad for pets and love until it’s time for her morning walk. Once she’s home, she lounges in the yard or gets some naps on. She loves her toys almost as much as she loves following her people around and providing them affection. She goes out for another walk in the early evening before she has dinner at 5 PM. In the evening, she cuddles on the couch with her foster humans until she goes out for one last potty and then heads into her crate for the night. Tapioca has previously lived with dogs and gets along well with them, especially when they are playful like her. She can be a little hesitant when meeting new people but once they win her over she is all in. Tapioca walks well on a leash and is learning some tricks! She is super smart and food motivated.
