Story
Simba is an 8-9 year old wavy coat male Saint Bernard. He came to Minnesota as a foster by way of a Saint Bernard Rescue. His recent foster has spent the last two years rehabbing with a lot of training, socialization, a consistent grooming schedule at the local Central Bark, and lots of love.He is smaller than a traditional male Saint Bernard weighing in at 115lbs. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccines as of 7/30/2024. He is very energetic for a senior dog and has a lot of life left in him. He would thrive in an active family that will commit to continuing his training to provide structure and lots of walks. His temperament has changed for the better over the last two years. He is open to other dogs yet not overly interested. He is very affectionate with his people, this will take patience for the first several weeks to build trust. He loves to run and lay in the grass outside. He would do best in a home with adults, but is tolerant of middle age children to teenagers. He would most likely thrive as the only dog in the house with opportunities to go to daycare and dog parks, but could do okay with his own space if other dogs were already part of the family.A few notes from his history: he has fear around his back end being touched, and also his paws. His foster has been working on conditioning him to tolerate those areas. This will need work with his new family. He was most likely neglected with his past owner, which is where his attachment style comes from, setting clear boundaries for him will be important. Stubbornness comes with the breed and is elevated in rescue dogs. He thrives with his training and the structure it provides. If you are interested in adopting this big, handsome, fella, please apply online and we can set up an appointment. **Adoption fee: $300 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Story
Name: Clifford Breeds: St Bernard Mix Age: Puppy Sex: Male Size: Extra Large when fully grown Clifford the big not red dog is a floppy, goofy giant breed puppy. He is best guessed to be a St Bernard mix. At 5 months old he is already a BIG boy so if you're interested in adopting prepare to have a large snuggle buddy. Clifford loves people. Absolutely adores everyone he meets. In fact when he was found roaming he jumped right up into someone's car and made himself cozy in their lap! How no one claimed this guy we'll never understand but whoever owned him before sure did a heck of a job socializing him because he thinks everyone is a friend. Clifford loves to play with other dogs, wanted to play with the cats until they bapped him in the nose, and thinks tossing around toys is just the greatest. He is a typical puppy, working on his housetraining and manners, still learning what is his to chew and what isn't, and learning all the fun obedience and tricks. He would excel in training classes! If you're looking for a solid, well-started puppy, Clifford would love to meet you! Requirements: No special requirements Adoption Fee: $650 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives. Story
Hi, my name is Piper! I’m a 6-month-old St. Bernard mix looking for my forever home. I’m currently living with two other dogs, two tiny humans, and two adults. While I’m grateful to have been rescued from the Bloomington Pound, I’m ready to find a permanent family of my own. In my free time, I love napping, chewing on toys, and playing with the kids and dogs in my foster home. I’ve had a chance to test out my swimming skills in both a pool and a lake. Let’s just say the pool and I didn’t quite see eye to eye—I couldn’t touch the bottom and didn’t enjoy it much. But the lake? I had a blast cooling off and running along the shoreline! This past week, my foster family has taken me on some exciting outings. I went to a softball tournament and a cabin, where I enjoyed all the attention and was friendly with everyone—both humans and animals—who wanted to say hello. I might have developed a bit of a complex from all the love I received! I’m working on potty training, but I still have a few accidents. I do keep my kennel clean at night, though I’m not the biggest fan of it. I’m bribed with treats, which helps a lot! I’ve been on a few walks and do well on a leash, even when I meet other walkers on the trail. With a little more training, I know I’ll be an amazing companion. I’m very food motivated, so treats are my favorite part of training! I hope my introduction makes you want to meet me—I’m sure you’ll fall in love once you get to know me! If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2133050##
