Story
My name is Logan HOWLett. I'm fluffy like my namesake, but much sweeter, and taller. I am 2 years old; my birthday is actually December 24th. I am a mix of Saint Bernard and pittie mix so I get bursts of energy and people are my jam! Running and adventuring make me happy but then give me a blanket and a lap and you will have the happiest of pups. I have been called a Velcro pup, but I can't help it, I love people followed by treats and ice cubes!  I can like other dogs, but prefer them to be smaller because I'm just a big puppy.  I do well in my crate and will sleep through the night, but I'd be more than happy to snuggle up with you in bed and keep you warm.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   March 13, 2025, 10:38 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Kenai.  I am a 3 year old Saint Bernard/Coonhound mix. I am neutered and vaccinated, weighing in at about 86lbs. Despite my giant size, I act like a small dog! I love to lay in your lap, and snuggle. I am very active, I love being outside, hiking and exploring. I do great with kids, cats, dogs- you name it! Small dogs sometimes scare me, so I may run away, but I will warm up with time. I like to be close to my dog friends. I am crate trained and do very well in a kennel. I love to give kisses, and don’t know what personal space is! But, look at how handsome I am. I’d love to be an addition to your family! Story
**Meet Mika!** Mika is a 4-month-old, 19lb Bernedoodle who is full of life and boundless energy. She bounces around the house so much that her name could have easily been Tigger! Mika is a social butterfly, making friends with all the dogs in her foster home. She’s learning how to read their signals—especially the senior dogs who aren’t as entertained by her playful antics—but she absolutely adores her furry friends. Mika is also a total sweetheart with people, soaking up every pet and snuggle she can get. As a young pup, she’s a blank slate ready to start her training, including leash walking and potty training. This lucky girl made it out of a puppy mill and into rescue, and now she’s ready for a loving home where she can grow into the perfect companion. Could that be with you? Mika is fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
