Story
Name, age, breed: Sven, 2 years old, St. BernardLikes: Treats, KibbleDislikes: StrangersKnown Commands: Sit Down, wait, halt, shakeWhat would be the ideal home? Breed experienced owner who is willing to take on mandatory obedience training. No apartments due to noise and nervousness. Good with other cats? Unknown - recommended no small crittersGood with dogs? Unknown - May possibly live with a dog of the same size/activity level Good with children? Unknown - Adult only home and breed experienced recommended.Personality: very loyal to those he bonds with, unsure with strangersHow long will it take to settle into a new environment? 2-3 weeksAny special needs or traits an adopter should know? Sven is a good dog when you have become friends he is very stranger danger and will bark/ lunge so he wears the muzzle at this time. He pulls hard and would benefit from halti training and walking manners, he will need someone who is familiar with the breed and understands what the breed contains. He hasn't shown food aggression but I think he could based on the breed and if he is in another home with a dog, he may start guarding high value items.Medical: Anxiety treated with medications - FLUOXETINEIf you think Sven is the one for you - fill out an application today!

Story
Brando is a gentle giant. He is a little standoffish when first meeting someone. He will be your best friend and shower you with love once he knows you. His favorite pastimes are walking, lounging around, and loving his person(s). He will thrive in any size family. He is one of the sweetest most loving dogs we have here at the ranch. He follows commands and is eager to please. He is microchipped, neutered, and fully vaccinated. He can be transported in the US and Canada. ##1533014##

Story
Odin is a colossal cuddle monster that never misses out on snuggle session. This senior gentleman is searching for the right family that has lots of time to spend with him. He enjoys showing off his skills at shake a paw, sit, lay down and stay. He enjoys going for leisurely walks and does very well on leash. Odin would like to spend his golden years as the only pet in the home as he is selective with certain dogs and does not like cats. So if you have a big enough couch to fit this old boy and lots of love to give, give us a call to set up an appointment to meet him.Odin is currently hanging out at one of our fosters until adopted.

Story
Freddy has a very interesting story! He was a local stray that was running for weeks. Many people tried to catch him but he was very scared. Eventually Freddy was secured and brought to a local Humane Society. He was extremely underweight and had very sore paws from running for so long. He was never claimed which means he was most likely dumped to fend for himself. Freddy was transferred to us because he needed further evaluation and training. In a short period of time, we have seen Freddy evolve. He is learning to walk on a leash. He is very smart and knows sit and paw already! Freddy is extremely food motivated. He is strong and working on his leash manners. Freddy has extreme fear with strangers, especially tall men. He is looking for a teen or older family that will work on building his confidence. Freddy requires slow introductions to new people, therefore he would do best in a house with not too many visitors. Freddy is being evaluated with dogs and seems to do well with female dogs and also some male dogs that are calm and social.

Story
Anna is a lovely girl who is approximately 11 years old and 65 pounds.  Sadly, her owner had to move where no dogs were allowed.  Times are tough for many people these days especially when it comes to finding affordable housing.   Anna has some health issues that include osteoporosis (back legs, wrists and hips) and hip dysplasia. she has been to our vet and had ex-rays done top to bottom.  She is now on pain meds and Librela shots once a month to help with pain.  She can do stairs and loves to cruise around the foster parent's yard checking out the sights and smells - oh, and barking at people and dogs going by.   Anna also has anxiety challenges when left alone. She barks and paces but does eventually settles (now she is doing better with some meds for anxiety).  Unfortunately, she doesn't walk on a leash and panics if offered a walk (even on a very quiet street) due to living in the country her whole life with access to several acres. She is easy to live with and easy to love, quiet in the house, great with other dogs, housetrained and affectionate.  Has shown no aggression with people, kids or dogs.  Not sure about cats but she is a kind dog overall  Needs an adopter with a house and fenced yard, who has lots of love to share with Hannah AnnaJuly 15, 2024, 8:52 am
