To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE   Age:  2 Months (as of 1/19/2025) Weight: 15.4 lbs (as of 1/23/2025) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. It is the East and Juliet is the Sun...  O Sweet Juliet! Introducing the Love puppies! We have three handsome boys – Romeo, Mickey, and Cupid, and two sweet girls – Juliet and Minnie.  They are all eager to find their forever homes.  These pups lost their mother tragically and have been living in an active foster home with four adults, cats, dogs and chickens. Juliet is an affectionate beautiful young lady with a unique white marking on one side of her nose.  She likes playing with squeaky toys and wrestling with her siblings!   When not playing, this goofy little girl is ready to chill, maybe a nap on the sofa with his people?! She’ll sleep while you read some Shakespeare – she has a soft spot for Romeo and Juliet! Being so young, Juliet would love to find a family who has the time and patience to raise a puppy; she has so much to learn! She'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs - and especially puppies - attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and her human family. It’s lots of fun, too!  Puppies are a lot of work and require a strong commitment to teaching them obedience, socializing with other dogs and people, playing with them and loving them to pieces. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience to bring up a puppy and it’s totally worth it! If you're ready to make that awesome commitment to bring up Juliet, then fill out an application today! The best love stories begin with a forever home filled with everlasting love! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not by breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  January 23, 2025, 9:05 pm

Story
Meet Marinara! Marinara is a sweet and playful 29-pound pup who’s settling into her foster home like a pro. She’s been with her foster family for just a few days and has already mastered sleeping through the night in her crate (10 PM to 7 AM!) and going to the bathroom outside—though she’s still figuring out how to let you know when she needs to go. This adorable girl loves playing in the snow, running around outside, and chewing on her favorite toys. She has a typical puppy energy level but knows how to relax after a good play session. Marinara gets along great with other dogs and is learning the ropes from her older foster siblings. She’d do well in a home with another dog who enjoys playing or a family ready to give her lots of attention. Marinara is a little nervous about the leash right now, but her foster is working on building her confidence, and she’s already making progress. She’s not a Velcro dog and is happy to hang out on her own when needed, but she loves affection and being part of the family. With her panda-like markings and raccoon-like face, Marinara is as cute as they come! She’s sweet, cuddly, and would make a fantastic family dog. Since she’s going to be a big girl when fully grown, we’d love to see her go to a family with relevant breed or large-dog experience to ensure she thrives. If you’re ready to welcome this lovable pup into your home, apply today! This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.   ##2272943##

Story
Pesto's foster mom shares: Pesto is a love. She is so smart!!! A great dog  She has taken well to her kennel, she sleeps all night. She is a very thirsty and hungry pup but she doesn’t care for treats, fruits or veggies. We are working on her manners when it comes to food and potty training. Her favorite toys are cardboard and a plastic water bottle lol and her spiked ball. She loves people, snow and her reflection in any glass surface. Her reaction to the video on television is funny-the only time she has barked. Pesto is learning her name and is beginning to learn commands. She already gives you her paw when asked.   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. Story
Alfredo's foster mom says: Omg he is the best. He's just a lovable goofball. He runs and slides around the apartment on those giant paws of his. One of the pics he flopped himself down he was so tired from playing. In the other one he stole the cat's bed. Loves the snow! Especially eating it lol. He knows his name, will come when called if the cat isn't distracting him and sits for treats! Has never pooped in the house, but still having pee accidents which was expected.  This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered.
