Story
Penny is a two-year-old, 43-pound pittie mix that was found when we were looking for another dog just like her that we lost. When we found her she was injured and limping, so we cleared her with the shelter and then took her to our vet. She was frightened at first but has thrived in the foster home and they say that she is the sweetest dog they have fostered, and ticks all the boxes for what a family or individual would look for in this breed. Penny is sweet, smart, loving, house and crate trained, great with dogs big and small and is a chill dog, who is happy to snuggle on the couch and watch TV. Story
Mae is a two year old, 45 pound Staffordshire Terrier mix that was surrendered to a shelter due to “downsizing.” When they turned her in they said that she was housebroken, didn’t dig, chew or jump and was good with other dogs and kids, and she loves to play fetch.   Mae has not been lucky enough to find a foster yet, so she is still in boarding, where she is making the best of it by being the “activities director” and making sure that all the pups are having fun, but she never misses the opportunity for a cuddle with staff members. Mae is just the best and hopefully, someone who loves her breed will spot her and give her the home that she deserves. ##2231821##

Story
Brody Boy is a ten-month-old, 45-pound Staffordshire Terrier mix picked up as a stray and taken to a shelter. Upon arrival, they noticed that he had a scar where all of the skin had been torn away from his left shoulder. One can only imagine what this poor boy has endured, and when his time was up at the shelter, we couldn’t leave him behind to be put down. Turns out that he may be physically scarred, but he is “no worse for the wear” and has a delightfully fun and friendly personality with people and other dogs. We are so happy to welcome him into our ALR family and hope that we can give him a better second chance and a wonderful new home.
