He’s great at keeping himself entertained and is full of love to give. Plus, he’s super smart—he already knows sit, stay, place, leave it, shake, and spin! Story
Truk Mostly white, Male/Neutered Staffordshire Terrier approximately 4 years old and 40 pounds. His name is Truk and he is an absolute cuddle bug and a gorgeous animal. He loves to play with dogs his own size but he does not care for small dogs at all. He is used to the dog door so he goes potty outside. Walks on a leash, loves car rides, kennel trained and minds well. His current family is going through a whole lot of medical issues and have concluded another home to love him up would be amazing for him. I know our kids grow up and move out but this decision did not come easy. Current on shots. Heart-worm negative. Rehoming fee $150

Story
I'm just a girl looking for love! My name is Darla and I'm hoping for my fairytale ending! I'm very pretty if I do say so myself. I'm affectionate and love to snuggle up with my person while watching a movie. I'm really good at cuddling up with my person at night too. I'm an active girl who likes walks, running around the yard, playing with my toys and taking car rides. I'm a big girl at 60+ pounds but I think I'm a lap dog-so beware, I might try to crawl onto your lap! I'm currently hanging out with my foster and another female dog who is smaller than me (she's an Australian Cattle dog mix). I don't know about other furry critters (like cats) and how I would be around them. We have wild rabbits where I live and I enjoy barking at them but who knows what I might do if there wasn't a fence between us! The fence is a metal fence so I can see out and it's about 4 feet tall but it might be a good idea to have a taller fence to be sure I can't jump over. I've learned to go potty outside and on my walks. It helps me to have a dog door so I can go outside when I need to and avoid accidents. I have some experience with crate training so please be patient and help me with that training. I've also been to school where I learned about the basics of sit, stay, heel, place, loose leash walking and I got to participate in group classes with other dogs of various sizes and breeds. I'm a good girl and I try really hard to do the right things but I'm still young and need positive reinforcement to help me get better at the tasks I've learned. I get very excited when my person comes home-I wag my tail side to side with such energy that my butt wiggles! My person and I live with an older person and I have to be careful not to paw at this older person or jump up on her. I do not have experience around kids so I think it would be best if my forever family has older children or no children. My favorite toys are by a brand called Tuff and I like them because they hold up to my vigorous play. I also enjoy chasing balls and toys that squeak and have some rope parts to play tug of war. Electronics are great fun to bark and bite - for example, the vacuum and the paper shredder. I'm still young and impulsive sometimes. I am a chewer so I need some positive correction on what I am allowed to chew on and what I should not chew on. Some things that help me with that issue are cow knee treats, using training treats to reward good behavior, antlers and buffalo horns and of course lots of exercise! I sometimes bark at people I know; I'm just trying to get their attention, but I will need help with correcting this behavior. Please take a chance on me! I'm a sweetheart and I'm smart and can learn to be your best companion. Darla is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Delphine is a great dog! She is loving, affectionate, and wants to be around people and other dogs. She is housebroken, crate trained, and obedience trained. She loves to be at your side and go everywhere with you, but she is also perfectly fine by herself when everyone is at work or school. She is a great traveler, and very content to sleep on the back seat during long road trips. She loves to go hiking, camping, and swimming in the river. She has never met a person or dog she doesn't like. I got Delphine when she was a tiny puppy, and I hate to give her up, but I am moving overseas for a job, and I cannot take her with me. She is an amazing companion. Delphine and I have traveled extensively together and having her at my side always makes me feel safe and secure. Delphine is a mixed breed dog. We did a Wisdom panel, and she is primarily Pitbull and Cane Corso with a bit of Great Dane and Husky mixed in... and yes, she does "talk" a lot. She weighs in at around 100-110 pounds and has a beautiful merle coat. If I got even a fraction of the compliments she does, I would have a huge head😊 Delphine is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
