Story
ABBOTSFORD, BC - Thank you for your interest in Genie. She was raised with her breeder and had some babies and was then retired. She was rehomed and that woman loved Genie. Unfortunately her health failed and Genie found herself looking for a new home. Thankfully SPIN was called and we were happy to bring her into our care. We've spent the last few weeks getting to know her and now we'd love to tell you all about her.

Story
Hi. My name is OGOPOGO (Bobo) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Tibetan Terrier/Poodle mixAge: 2.5 yrsGender: maleWeight: 18 kgHeight: 50 cmHighlight(s): very active, clever, snuggly I'm quite the energetic and playful fellow, hoping you like lots of exercise and fun.I was stolen by a drug addict from my original owner here in the Middle East. My rescuer had to buy me from him. She placed lots of ads to find my family, but nobody came forward. If you love cuddles, I am just the dog for you. I probably need a person all to myself, as I am a bit jealous. While I am good with female dogs, not so much with other males. So, probably best as an only fur-child. I also don't care for cats and go after them. I tend to be anxious about being left alone, so best if I have a person around most of the time. I am very clever and will wait by the washroom door for you to come out. I'm good with kids 8 and older too.I do have a lot of energy that needs to be expended each day. If not, I tend to chew. So toys are a must. I go through them pretty quickly.A home with a high fenced yard is rather a necessity for me. I can jump easily jump a 4-1/2 foot wall. I'm great in the car, but make sure I am restrained, so I don't jump out. You see, I am very curious. So I will also wander out an open door, so you must be vigilant. I am quite good on leash though and need some decent walks and playtime to wear down the hyper. Ha. A jogging buddy would be excellent.I am a very loyal boy who will make a great companion for someone active. See, nothing mysterious here, just a normal active boy.  More videos to come. Energy Level: high to very high I get along with:Dogs: yes and no, mostly females ok, no malesCats: noKids: yes Fears: Being left alone. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: someLeash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: a bit. Please be prepared to help me learn! With regular walks, I will pick up quickly where to do my business. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##1725141##

Story
We are opening up applications for Lyle, and looking for the best match for him. We ask that you please take the time to read Lyle's bio with care and genuine consideration. At just two years old, Lyle has already endured more trauma than any dog should. He is not your typical, carefree pup—his journey requires extra patience, compassion, and time. He may take longer to open up, but with love and consistency, the reward of earning his trust is truly something special. We kindly ask that only those who genuinely have Lyle's best interest at heart submit an application. — Meet Lyle, The Bravest Boy! Breed: Aussiedoodle Age: ~2 years old Sex: Male Lyle is a gentle soul with the sweetest heart and the coziest vibes. Though he may be a bit shy at first, once he starts to feel safe, you'll see glimmers of a quirky, curious, and loving personality that's just waiting to blossom. He's the kind of pup who'll quietly peek around the corner to see what you're up to, get giddy over his morning greetings, and absolutely melt into you during evening cuddles. He hasn't quite figured out toys yet but seems curious—give him a little time and he might just surprise you. He's house-trained, sleeps peacefully in his kennel at night, and walks beautifully on leash with a bit of encouragement. While loud noises and busy areas can still startle him, he's getting braver by the day and even gets excited for walks now! Lyle enjoys the company of other calm dogs and will thrive in a home with a dog companion alike. He tends to be more comfortable with women but, with time, warms up to everyone who shows him patience and love. Because of Lyle's shy and sensitive nature, we will not be considering applications with young children or busy, high-traffic households. He truly thrives in a calm, quiet environment where he can feel safe and take things at his own pace. Please understand that there is only one Lyle, and he holds a very special place in the hearts of everyone who has been part of his journey, both within and outside the rescue. We won't be rushing the adoption process, as it's incredibly important to us that Lyle finds the home that's truly meant for him.
