Story
Due to the present confrontational Middle East environment where this dog resides, airlines are minimally operating. He/She may therefore be delayed in arriving to Canada. He/She will eventually be sent, but we have no specified timeframe at this moment. If you are willing to wait, we and this dog appreciate your patience. Hi guys. My name is Pudding Pop and here's info about me:Breed: poodle                                                      Age: 1 yrGender: maleWeight: 5 kgHeight: 40 cmCountry of Origin: Middle EastHighlights: intelligent, quiet, playful, polite Hiya guys! I am the most adorable little poodle ever and as sweet as my name suggests.  I am a gorgeous playful little puppy, and I love to play and run after my toy balls. I get along very well with people, kids, dogs and even cats: https://youtube.com/shorts/432lm1dLCQE?si=WXcVNkU0mFDNjYjw! My favorite pastime is to go to the park. I play with the other dogs at the park, but I would much rather spend time playing with my humans. I am very playful. My foster mom says I hop around like a bunny rabbit. No idea why, but I was abandoned at a pet hospital when I was very young. Go figure, right? I am the perfect family companion and would love to show you Being one that hardly ever barks should endear me to most any home. I walk well on leash, but it would be good to get more practice. I have excellent house manners and have never, ever done potty inside the house and the fact that I know how to do my business outdoors probably means that I was owned by somebody beforehand. Please give me a chance and adopt me. You won’t be sorry. Energy level: high I get along with:Other dogs: yesKids: yesCats: yes Prey drive: non-observed, however, my adopter needs to be willing to train me should these behaviors arise. Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: leash basics and impeccable bathroom mannersLeash training: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  My adoption fee is 850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a fight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis ##2083245##

Story
**Twinkie is available for a foster-to-adopt trial only at this time, as her behavioural needs are so complex. This is to fully assess the match between Twinkie and her potential home. Adoption would be finalized after the foster-to-adopt trial is complete.**Meet Twinkie, a special lady looking for a patient and understanding forever home. This sweet girl has had a rough start in life and is now seeking a calm and loving environment where she can learn to trust and thrive.Twinkie would thrive in a calm, quiet, stable home with guardians who have experience with under socialized and fearful dogs, and are familiar with dog behaviour and body language. A perfect match for Twinkie is someone who is willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and confident is a must. She is anxious and skittish, likely due to under socialization, and limited positive human interaction in the past. Twinkie will need a consistent, structured routine and slow introductions to new friends, human and dog! She would do well in a home with a calm and confident dog who gives her plenty of time and space to adjust at her own speed. Because she is fearful, Twinkie would not suit a home with young children who have not yet learned how to interact with an anxious dog. A home with a secure, fenced yard where she can safely explore and play would be very beneficial for her special needs. She is on a long-term medication to help manage her anxiety, and her new family will need to continue this treatment under the guidance of their Veterinarian.Despite her challenges, Twinkie has shown incredible resilience and a desire to connect with people. If you have the patience, understanding, and commitment to help Twinkie overcome her fears and become the brave and confident companion she's meant to be, please consider opening your heart and home to her. Your love and support can make all the difference in the world to this special dog.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Fawn Weight: 20.3 Age: 2yrs 4mths 4wks

**Buster is available for a foster-to-adopt trial only at this time, as his behavioural needs are so complex. This is to fully assess the match between Buster and his potential home. Adoption would be finalized after the foster-to-adopt trial is complete.**Meet Mr. Buster, a sweet but timid soul looking for a patient and understanding forever home. This precious guy has had a ruff start in life, with little to no positive human interactions before finding refuge at our shelter. As a result, Buster is fearful and nervous, lacking confidence and struggling to adjust to the world around him.Despite his past, Buster shows a glimmer of hope and trust, especially towards men, with whom he feels more comfortable. This suggests that with the right approach and environment, Buster has the potential to blossom into a loving and loyal companion.Buster Bar is seeking a quiet home with patient and experienced adopters who can provide a structured routine and gentle guidance to help build his confidence. We believe a household with a quiet, self assured dog his own size could provide him with the companionship and comfort he needs to continue to build his confidence. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a dog in need, Buster is ready to learn what love and kindness truly mean. **Buster is currently on a long-term anxiety medication and potential adopters should be prepared to continue to work closely with their vet regarding this**If you think Buster could be a good fit for you, please contact the Kamloops branch with any further questions or fill out an application below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Red Brown Weight: 23 Age: 5yrs 5mths 0wks

He/She will eventually be sent, but we have no specified timeframe at this moment. If you are willing to wait, we and this dog appreciate your patience.  Hi. My name is OGOPOGO (Bobo) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Tibetan Terrier/Poodle mixAge: 2 yrsGender: maleWeight: 18 kgHeight: 50 cmHighlight(s): very active, clever, snuggly I'm quite the energetic and playful fellow, hoping you like lots of exercise and fun.I was stolen by a drug addict from my original owner here in the Middle East. My rescuer had to buy me from him. She placed lots of ads to find my family, but nobody came forward. If you love cuddles, I am just the dog for you. I probably need a person all to myself, as I am a bit jealous. While I am good with female dogs, not so much with other males. So, probably best as an only fur-child. I also don't care for cats and go after them. I tend to be anxious about being left alone, so best if I have a person around most of the time. I am very clever and will wait by the washroom door for you to come out. I'm good with kids 8 and older too.I do have a lot of energy that needs to be expended each day. If not, I tend to chew. So toys are a must. I go through them pretty quickly.A home with a high fenced yard is rather a necessity for me. I can jump easily jump a 4-1/2 foot wall. I'm great in the car, but make sure I am restrained, so I don't jump out. You see, I am very curious. So I will also wander out an open door, so you must be vigilant. I am quite good on leash though and need some decent walks and playtime to wear down the hyper. Ha. A jogging buddy would be excellent.I am a very loyal boy who will make a great companion for someone active. See, nothing mysterious here, just a normal active boy.  More videos to come. Energy Level: high to very high I get along with:Dogs: yes and no, mostly females ok, no malesCats: noKids: yes Fears: Being left alone. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: someLeash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: a bit. Please be prepared to help me learn!
