Meet Tempest! He is a handsome Poodle mix who weighs around 65 lbs. He came to us as a stray who had severe matting all over, and was so scared of everything. After a few weeks of TLC, Tempest is looking and feeling great! We are guessing he is around 3 years old, but it is hard to say for sure. What we do know, is that he is a sweet and active boy who needs a home with no small children, ideally a yard to play in or someone committed to exercising him appropriately. He needs someone willing to keep up with his grooming needs as Poodle mixes need to be groomed every 6-8 weeks typically and require at home maintenance between groom appointments. He will need training to help curb some puppy-like behavior, like jumping and mouthing out of playfulness. So far Tempest seems to do well with dogs here, but may chase cats/small critters. He does keep his kennel pretty clean so may be housetrained. Tempest has been cleared medically, besides a Grade 2 heart murmur of unknown origin. He has no issues with exercise or any cardiac symptoms at this time. He was neutered without issue. His adoption fee is $150 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccinations and negative heartworm test. Prince Charming is a 5 yr old male Poodle mix. He weighs approx. 25#. We are looking for a home with a fenced in yard. He is an old soul, very gentle and just wants to be loved and cuddled. There may have been a bad experience in his past as he is not very confident and just needs a loving family.Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping.
