Meet Maple (officially known as “Awesome Maple” on the SAAP website). She is a 3-year old standard poodle, 65 pounds, long legged and playful but very calm and sweet. She loves her kennel and sleeps quietly all night. She’s been very good at only going potty outside when taken out on a regular schedule. She would need a secure fenced yard to play in. She is quiet, rarely barks, walks well on leash and LOVES everyone. She is perfect with our 4 cats, interested in them but respectful of their space. She immediately made friends with our 4 golden retrievers and is trustworthy to roam freely in the house with them. But she loves people best of all, not quite a Velcro dog, but she wants to be close by no matter what you’re doing. She loves going on car rides and will sit quietly looking out the window. She does well on park walks and is well behaved meeting strangers and other dogs on the trails. She would make a loving member of your family. Get those application in soon, she won't last long. Francine is my name and CURLY hair is my game!! I mean, I have beautiful LOCKS! Well, let me tell you, my gorgeous locks REQUIRE care! Brushing, grooming, bathing, frequently! I am a sweet heart, love kitties, kiddies, adulties and puppies!! I have a floppy happy face, and am about 40# of silly and cute puppy. The man, the myth, the legend Bartholomeu! This handsome Howard Stern look a like is a year and a half old Poodle mix and is so sweet and full of life and personality. He knows some commands such as sit, but is eager to learn more. We are not sure at this time how he is with other dogs or with children, but we do know he is NOT great with cats. So we require that if you have other dogs or children PLEASE bring them in to meet with Bart! If you are interested in him please come to the SPCA to check him out!

Everyone meet Goldie! She’s a 5 year old doodle. Full transparency she will be a flight risk until she earns your trust. She spent 8 1/2 weeks on the run and had to be trapped after getting away from a new person. Shes been back with her foster and is a completely different dog after being back she snuggles, seeks being beside you, jumping on the bed to sleep, even approaching new people that come in the house. Once she earns your trust I do not think she will ever leave your side or be a risk of running but she has to have time to earn your trust. This may take months for her but I know the right person is out there. She requires a patient adopter, fenced yard, and another dog that is welcoming and willing to show her the ropes. She is crate trained, hasn’t had any accidents, and doing well on leash walks with another dog. I know her perfect family is out there. You will never have a dog that loves you as much as she will.
