Story
I am Jax. A standard chocolate/silver poodle. I weigh 76 pounds. I am the happiest sweetest boy! I love every animal I come across and every human. I am very hyper. Anxiety meds help me but my owner has taken me off because she is home with me. It helps me not be so anxious when she’s gone. I need someone who has time and experience. I know basic commands and I love car rides.

Story
This Floofydoodle girl is Ivy... Ivy is a 3 year old, 65ish lb, Goldendoodle and was one of the breeder dogs that was rescued from horrid conditions from the Amish puppy mill rescue in early Dec. of 2023!  MAJOR UPDATES FOR IVY - THIS SWEET GIRL IS OUT OF GCS AND IN A FOSTER HOME as of Feb 2025 Here is what her foster mom has to say... "Ivy is settling in really well. She finally learned how to go up and down the stairs (she initially didn’t know how). Still no potty accidents inside. So I would say she is house trained!  We are working hard on crate training and she is slowly but surely learning the crate up command and learning the crate can be a safe place. She is also letting us walk her in the house on a slip lead which is a big step for her as she’s not leash trained. Long term, she will be so happy in a home with another stable, young and playful dog. (ours are 6 and 7 and not as active with her) She is so playful and loves to run. She loves to chase after balls, but doesn’t understand fetch yet and she will run laps around our backyard until she tires out, ha! That said, she is generally pretty calm in the house." **** As Ivy is working on getting socialized, she still has fears and the type of home she is needing is not just your typical home. There are quite a few MUST HAVES for her and they are:  MUST have someone who is experienced in helping unsocialized breeder dogs transition from the kennel situation to a home. This is NOT just for anyone, as the time and patience put into helping to rehabilitate these dogs is huge. She also MUST have another stable dog, MUST have a secure above ground fenced yard with direct access to the yard from the house, MUST have someone home more than the typical working family, and a home with NO kids under the age of 16. Sadly, after a year, she is now talking treats from us, and will occasionally let us pet her head. No aggression, just terrified of people.  We are still learning about Ivy but we do know she is very fearful of everything right now. You can tell she WANTS to get love but she is very hesitant and when one of the volunteers was able to pet her (once), she laid down in fear. Ivy has only known the small confines of a kennel, so this new world she has been introduced to is very scary for her. She finds comfort in other dogs as when she is in the play area with volunteers, she was very indifferent and not so interested in people, but when she is outside with some other dogs, she will get excited and bounce around some.  We know we need to get her out of the kennel so she can begin her new journey in life. She needs to find a forever family or foster family that is excited to show her what love and compassion are about. Ivy's rehabilitation is going to take time... things can not be rushed for her. As said above, she is going to need to have a stable dog living in the home so they can show her the ropes and help build her confidence in everything, especially people. Ivy is considered a flight risk, and will need a home with a secure above ground fenced yard with direct access to the yard from the home. We do not know how she will be with kids and or chaos, so a home with no kids under the age of 16 is best and we do not know how she is with cats at this time.  If you want to be the one to show Ivy what life as a beloved family member is all about, please fill out an application: grrand.org/adopt GRRAND dogs are looking for their foster or adoptive homes in our current service area of Greater Louisville, Greater Lexington, or Greater Cincinnati and Dayton. Story
Ace is a handsome 3 year old, male Goldendoodle looking for his forever family that is active and has the time to give him the exercise and direction he needs to be a good boy. It is best his new family does not have kids under the age of 16 as he can occasionally show some resource guarding of his food and toys. He is crate-trained, has full run of the house when his people are away and walks well on leash.  We are still learning about Ace, but if you would like to meet him, please fill out an app at GRRAND,org ##2254617##

Story
Melissa Erin is a Goldendoodle est about 2ish years old, who was found by a Good Samaritan from Louisville who picked her up from the side of the road on I-65 and contacted GRRAND. She had a small pneumothorax and R fractured humerus - which required her leg to be amputated.   She is in an awesome foster home where they helped get her through her surgery from start to finish! Here is what they say: "We took her sutures out from her amputation and the incision still looks a bit irritated but it’s healing well. I’ll be keeping her in a cone for about another week, she keeps trying to lick the incision from the amputation. She is an absolute sweetie! She’s great with other dogs. Great with people. Crate trained and potty trained. She’s about 2 years old we think. She knows basic commands like sit and go potty and I’ll go in her kennel when I ask her. Oh also she was super matted and nasty and got a full shave down, but her hair is growing back! Melissa Erin (we have been calling her Maple) is skinny and needs to gain some weight, and she is really a lap dog! She is so ready to find her forever family!!! Oh... and she LOVES the snow!" We are still learning about this sweet girl, so please chack back later for more info... If you would like to help GRRAND with the high vet bills for her surgery, please visit the DONATION link to help! and if you would like to meet this sweetie, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org   ##2285499##
