Story
Hi! My name is Gary and I am looking for a forever home. I was picked up by Animal Control along with several other dogs running after a female in heat and taken to a scary place called a shelter. No one came looking for me and after my stray time was up, I found myself on something bad called "the list". BCAA heard about my plight and said they would help me ... yeah! When I first came into foster, everyone thought I was this really big doodle 'cause I had so much hair; however, after BCAA got me groomed 'cause I had lots of mats, I appear to be more of a Standard Poodle and I am on the skinny side (see my before and after pictures!). That doesn't bother me too much as my foster mom is giving me extra food which I really like! I also initially appeared to have a red coat; however, after I had to be shaved down I now look to have a tan/taupe coat. Right now I am only about 54lbs and probably should be closer to at least 65lbs. I am 2 years old. I am on the shyer side when first meeting new people but once I have learned I can trust you, I enjoy getting attention from you. I have gotten along with the smaller dogs I have met but not so much the bigger ones, and while I haven't gotten aggressive with any of the cats I've met my foster mom says a home without them might be best as I've shown some interest in them. I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding and will go right in when asked. I'm good on leash, don't pull and really enjoy going out on walks with you once I have learned I can trust you.
