Callum is a darling 10 week old puppy who came to us from an owner surrender situation. Luckily, we were able to intervene before this litter found its way to the shelter. This is so helpful and keeps them away from shelter germs. Callum weighs about 10 lbs and is meeting all his puppy milestones on time. He has a spunky personality and loves outside play time with his litter mates. He will need regular exercise and lots of play time as any puppy would. Callum's mama is a full grown, all black doodle mix. Dad is unknown. Brandon is a handsome 5 month old bundle of love with a stunning brindle coat that he must have inherited from his dad! His mom was a unique mix of half Standard Poodle and half Airedale, so Brandon is destined to grow into a big, lovable boy that could weigh 60 pounds. With his lovingly sweet personality, Brandon is the total puppy package! His foster mom has been working hard on his crate training and potty training, and he’s already mastered “sit.” He’s great with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a perfect fit for just about any type of family.  Brandon would love an active family that could provide him a fenced yard where Brandon can safely play. Training: crate and leash trained, working on house training and she is doing well. She hasn't had much life experiences and will need continued training. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes. Posh is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 02/09/22 Posh had entropion repair on his lower eyelid. He also had a dental polishing and a deep ear cleaning. Posh can be prone to ear infections. Keeping his ears clean is imperative.  Weight: 45 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Posh is an active dog that has had a lot of change over the last 8 months. He needs stability and patience and continued socialization. Posh is an alpha male and needs an owner that will commit to positive reinforcement training and redirection of behaviors. Posh prefers women to men so an alpha female owner is his ideal home. Posh could live with other dogs (he always has) or be the only dog. Posh is not good with children and will not be placed in a home with children. He requires SLOW introductions to new people. What is my personality like? Posh and his brother Hans were the beloved companions of a single professional. Sadly, significant health challenges made caring for Posh impossible and he was surrendered to rescue to help him find the right forever home.  Posh's owner describes him as a a big, happy love bug - he thinks he is a toy poodle lap dog! He loves to give big hugs and kisses. Posh is not fond of the vet or of grooming but with lots of gentle persuasion it can be managed.  Here is what our caregivers say about this beautiful boy. Posh is a sweet boy that is looking for a mama. The reason I say “mama” is because posh takes direction from women very easily where as he is a little slower to warm up with men. He needs someone that can keep him in line. He is all boy! Posh does well with other dogs; he enjoys the company of dogs his size. Occasionally when he’s over stimulated you’ll have to correct him and let him know he’s being a little too much. Posh is not the best with strangers - you have to buy this boy's love with treats and patience. He does not appreciate being approached without permission and will let you now his displeasure. Posh slightly pulls on a leash and will need some leash training. He would excel at any type of positive reinforcement training as he is very intelligent. Posh loves belly rubs and does very good about keeping his crate clean. It is required posh have a crate in the home this will help his transition to a new environment as well as give him a place to retreat to when he’s feeling overwhelmed. How do I act when I first meet new people? A little timid, but incredibly treat motivated Other tips and tidbits: Posh is 3.5 years old. We celebrate his birthday as 2/1/2019. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Yes, Shiloh Trixie is an escape artist.  I do not trust her with just leash walking.  She loves to romp with her friends and needs the security and safety of her own private dog park in her back yard. What kind of home would be best for me? Shiloh Trixie is a sweet, shy girl who is on a journey to becoming a loving and loyal companion. She was surrendered because her previous owner who, after just a short time in their home, realized they were unable to provide the time and attention she needed. Currently, Shiloh Trixie thrives in the company of other dogs and enjoys playing with energetic, playful canines. She learns a lot from her doggy friends and takes her cues from them. Shiloh Trixie will only be placed in a home with at least one, and even more is fine, standard poodles who will accept her into their world.  She will always need a friendly, confident dog friend who can serve as a positive role model. As for humans, Trixie is much more comfortable around women and she prefers you to be under 5'4" ( I know, you did not know dogs could measure right?).  She is hesitant around taller individuals. This behavior may be a remnant of her previous situation, and we are working with her to help her feel more secure around all people. This gentle girl needs an adopter who can offer patience, kindness, and consistency as she continues to develop her social skills. Shiloh Trixie walks well on a leash but will need to learn basic commands such as sit, stay, down, and come. She is highly treat-motivated, which will help her pick up these skills quickly. In her crate, Shiloh Trixie feels safe and secure; she has never had accidents in it. She enjoys playing with toys and sometimes "borrows" them from her doggy friends. Shiloh Trixie will thrive in a home where someone is around most of the day to provide the guidance and support she requires. She would do well with a single person, a couple, or a family with mature children aged 16 and older. With a loving and dedicated owner, Shiloh Trixie will grow into a wonderful companion. Watching her blossom into a confident, loving pet will be a truly rewarding experience. What is my personality like? Shiloh Trixie gets along well with other dogs and tends to mirror their behavior. If they are playful and happy, she will be too; if they are agitated, she might also become unsettled. A home with a well-adjusted large canine companion(s) would be ideal for her. How do I act when I first meet new people? Shiloh Trixie is initially shy and may take some time to warm up. She tends to do better with women and might be cautious around men or individuals more than six feet tall. With patience and gentle encouragement, she will continue to improve in her social interactions. we have been working with John Boy for a year.  He is now crate trained, plays well with others and is a really sweet pup.  He will take a little time to get used to other people  Dogs are up-to-date on shots, wormed, on heartworm preventative, microchipped and altered(spayed/neutered), prior to adoption.
