Story
Sammy has strong separation anxiety. He would be best fit for someone retired/ or someone who does not leave for hours at a time for work. He does good with school aged kids but does not like small toddlers/babies. He is fine around other dogs off the leash. On the leash he gets anxious. Reason for rehoming: We recently had our second baby, and while Sammy does not do well with our baby, we are also not able to give him the necessary time to go out and burn all his doggy energy. He is 9 but still likes to run and play like a younger dog.

Story
Meet Coco! Coco was surrendered by his family after being with them since he was a puppy, he is a very sweet boy who is confused about what he did wrong. He’s a gentle soul who wags his tail, leans in for pets, and enjoys exploring the yard and playing with other dogs and with a little patience, he shows his true, loving personality. His sweet temperament makes him a fabulous companion. If he had a title it would be “Comfort Dog”! He is a neutered male Pure Bred Standard Poodle surrendered to us due to his owner not having the means or time to care for him. Coco is good with other dogs and is crate and house trained. He doesn't shed but requires brushing and regular, professional grooming to stay healthy and comfortable. Please consider this time commitment and expense when considering adding a non-shedding dog to your family.  Date of Birth: 6/1/20  Weight: 60 pounds Coco is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $500. You can apply for him here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/ We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Waverly aka Daisy is 13 months and 55 lbs as of March '25.  She is very social and friendly and would do well with an active owner. Waverly regularly goes to doggy daycare where she has a blast with every dog and person she meets. She is house and crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $325  Waverly was adopted and is being returned due to not doing well with the household cats. While she gets along well with just about everyone, she has a prey drive that makes her unsuitable for homes with small animals such as cats and bunnies. Waverly had a DNA test:  50% Poodle, 25% American Pit Bull Terrier, 15% Husky, 9% Great Pyrenees. Please apply online if you're interested in meeting her: http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/    We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. Story
Caramelo have 1/3 years old, he born on december !He likes to go to the park to play and sniff other dogs, he is not aggressive on the contrary he is very playful and energetic. The reason why I can't have it is that I don't have much time to take him for a walk and I feel that he deserves more than being locked up, my apartment is too small to have it and I don't have a patio for him to run and play or chase some squirrel

Story
We rescued Teddy and a few others from the shelter.  We don't know all the details but we know it was a "protective custody", and I believe they forced the owner to surrender most of their dogs.  Some were in worse shape than others.  Teddy is fearful of people but we think with love and care he will come around.  He is young at only a year old and only weighs 44 lbs.  More to come on this baby as we get to know him.  We do need a foster or interested adopter. ##2357309##
