Meet Lottie! Lottie, a 1 year old standard poodle mix, is a little soul who is a mix of curiosity and courage, learning every day what it means to be a dog.Lottie is just a tad scared and prefers a slow and steady pace. She might not love her crate unless the door is open (then she can come and go as she pleases), and she’s still mastering her potty training skills. A yard would be a dream come true for her playful spirit.Walking on a leash has become one of her favorite activities. She gets so excited whenever she sees her harness because it means it’s time for an adventure! Lottie also enjoys small bones and peanut butter for a treat. She will thrive with a family with other dogs! She looks up to them, finds comfort and has learned so much from just observing my two dogs. I brush her hair every night to keep her coat soft and pretty!She’s very vocal at times and loves to communicate. Especially in the morning when it’s time for breakfast :) Her crooked little smile will melt anyone’s heart and if she REALLY wants your attention, she will nudge you with her nose. Such a smart girl.Her favorite part of the day is meal time. She can barely contain her excitement, and is always the first one done even with a slow feeder. She LOVE pets, but human touch is very new to her. Please be patient, I promise she will warm up to you, but just let her come to you at her own pace. She will follow you around the house and observe all the things you do!! Before you know it she’ll be cuddling next to you on the couch!Although Lottie experiences some anxiety as she adjusts to all this love and indoor life, we believe it’s just temporary. Her journey is one of resilience, and with some support and patience, she’s destined to shine and will truly make the perfect family pet/new family member!!Let’s help Lottie find her forever family—someone who is very patient as she continues to learn all the things, understands her quirks and offers her a warm, loving home!! Preferably someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule.
