Story
Hiya!! My name is Rover and here's more info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Schnauzer mix Age: 6 months approx. Gender: Male Weight: 13 lbs (6 kg)  (but will grow a bit more!) Length (nose to butt): 38 cm Height (paws to top of head): 28 cm Current Location: Guadalajara, Mexico RESCUE STORY - Sadly, I was left behind at a vet's office with my brother. You see, my mommy got pregnant but her owners couldnt keep two more doggies...I'm happy they brought me somewhere safe to be cared for and helped. The veterinarians took great care of me and I've had all my puppy shots so I'm now ready to find my furever home with good hoomans!  TEMPERAMENT - I'm just a playful puppy! My rescuers says I'm sweet but can be a little shy or reactive as I'm just a little guy in this big world. I love to play with empty water bottles and old socks! I'm not a noisy boy but sometimes I let out a bark if I hear a strange noise. I hang out all day with different people and doggies and my rescuers says I get along with everyone. I love getting love and am so cuddly. I am also very smart and observant - I know if I sit cute in the kitchen I'll probably get a treat heheh! I sometimes feel nervous when my rescuer leaves the house but I know they will come back and that makes me soooo excited! ENERGY LEVEL - Moderate, classic puppy energy.  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yup! My rescuer says I behave excellent with kids.   same with ALL dogs, I should be supervised around children. My humans need to advocate for my space and make sure I'm respected :)  Dogs – I am friendly and so happy with other doggies. Cats – Unknown PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – I am still a puppy so these are a work in progress. I am much more timid/skittish in louder, busier environments. My adopter must be willing to provide me with some training and lots of patience :)  House trained – I know to go outside or in the backyard if I need to go potty. But I'm still a puppy and might need some time and training in my new home! Crate trained – I know to stay quiet and sleep in a carrier. But more training may be required.   Car rides – I'm very quiet and brave in the car. But more training may be required.  Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain, Balanced Dog Trainer) to offer adopters 50% off one training session (not including tax and applicable gas surcharges). Any subsequent sessions will be offered at standard rates. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered and vaccinated. NOTE: dogs from Guadalajara are not microchipped. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.  ##2096947##

URGENT! Due to a new law enacted in my country, the rescuers can't retain the refuge, so all us dogs need homes before the end of the year. Please help. Greetings. I'm RUFFY and here is some info on me:Breed: Schnauzer/Terrier mixAge: 3 yrsGender: MaleWeight: 21 kg (46 lbs)Height: 58 cm (23 inches)Country of Origin: Republic of GeorgiaHighlights: Friendly, fun-loving, protective, loyal, peacemaker Here I am... a friendly and fun-loving pup ready to brighten your day.Found sheltering from a rainstorm at the entrance of an apartment-hotel across from a beach, I was there for several days, shivering and alone, but no one claimed me. It's possible I may have gotten lost and left behind when a tourist owner had to leave.I've been told I have a wonderful disposition. I am playful with the bigger dogs, and protective of the smaller, younger or senior dogs at the refuge. I'm the peacemaker, ensuring any potential  fight breaks up. Yup, an all around good guy, that's me. I am obedient, attentive and sweet-natured. I will make a wonderful companion dog. Loyalty is my middle name, so hoping you are ready for your bff. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.TRAINING: house and leash workLeash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2093464##

Story
Hiya! My name is PATSY and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed:  Schnauzer mix Age:  Approx. 4 years old  Gender:  Female Weight:  43 lbs (19.4 kg)  Height:  60 cm (paws to top of my head) Length:  83 cm (head to butt) Neck:  27 cm Chest:  34 cm Current Location:  Mexico City RESCUE STORY - My rescue journey began nearly two years ago just outside of Mexico City, where I was found scared, injured, and abandoned on the street. My rescuer believes I was hit by a car, as my right hind leg appeared broken, I was in pretty sad shape! Thankfully, a kind stranger scooped me up and rushed me to the shelter where I received urgent veterinary care. See videos from my rescue day here, here, and here. Sure enough, my leg was fractured! It required surgery to heal properly, they even inserted a temporary pin to help me heal! Being the strong and resilient lady that I am, I have healed up nicely and even go on daily walks to help strengthen my leg.  TEMPERAMENT - The volunteers here at the shelter say I’m a loving, gentle girl. I coexist well with my fellow doggos, and humans too! I pickup on commands easily, and am very alert. I tend to pickup on noises around the shelter!  ENERGY LEVEL - Medium/High - I looove to go for walks, and to play with my pals here at the shelter! We keep busy playing with my favorite toy, balls! And doggie toys! A fun fact about me, chicken is my favorite food! You’ll also catch me snacking on carrots and tortillas!  When it’s time to wind down, I share my bed with many dogs here at the shelter! While I love to snuggle with my pals, I’m SO looking forward to a bed of my very own in a forever home - will that be with you?!  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown. While I’m a pretty sweet gal, I haven’t had much exposure to kiddos at the shelter.  Dogs –  You betcha! I live with many dogs here at the shelter. We like to walk and play together! Cats – Yes, I do well with kitties! Take a look at my videos here and here. PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Pretty good, but I will need some help polishing up! I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success! Find videos of me walking on a leash here and here!  House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain, Balanced Dog Trainer) to offer adopters 50% off one training session (not including tax and applicable gas surcharges). Any subsequent sessions will be offered at standard rates. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. Story
Hiiiiii there! My name is Stefano and here is a bit more info about me. PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Mixed Schnauzer Age: 1 year 2 months Gender: Male Weight: 24 lbs ( 11 kg)   Length (nose to bum): 62 cm Height (paws to top of head): 54 cm Current Location: Mexico City, Mexico RESCUE STORY - I wasn't always homeless but when my hooman got really sick, my family couldn't take care of me anymore. I was brought to La Casa del Mestizo shelter, located in Mexico City. I was quite malnourished and in need of exercise. I didn't really go on walks with my family even though I do love them! I started making new friends at the shelter and I love to play with other dogs, no matter how big or small they are. TEMPERAMENT - I'm very friendly and my favorite things to play with are plastic bottles! I like to hide the fun bottles in my kennel where I sleep with my best doggy friend. Despite sleeping with the door open, I prefer to sleep inside my kennel. I am super friendly and very affectionate with hoomans and just love, LOVE! I am looking for a new family where I can feel love and I'll be furever faithful to you. My favorite snacks are chicken, apples, and carrots. Yum! ENERGY LEVEL - Moderate. I have average energy and love to relax and take naps. I usually go to bed at 9 pm! GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown  As with ALL dogs, I should be supervised around children. My humans need to advocate for my space and make sure I'm respected :)  Dogs – Yes! I get along with the doggies at the shelter, big and small. Check out my video of me walkin' with my pack. NOTE: I do not like to eat amongst friends and show some resource guarding tendencies towards dogs if I'm eating. If you have another doggy in your household, I will need to be fed separately. Cats – Unknown PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: I like my space during mealtime, even though all my friends are eating their own food, I don't want to share my and prefer to eat alone.  Leash skills – I love walkies! My leash skills are a work in progress (although pretty darn good!) and I'd love an adopter who can patiently help be learn perfect leash manners!
