Story
Toby has been a faithful companion for 12 years. He's got a gentle demeanor and is best described as a "polite" dog. He has been around children as infants and we have never known him to be aggressive around people or animals. He currently lives with elementary school aged kids and 2 cats. Unfortunately, our personal lives mean that we can't give him the attention he desires. The best owner would be one who enjoys his company indoors (he often wants to be close by) and is able to get him outside in a yard, a farm, or give him plenty of walks. He used to be a great athlete but is slowing down as a distinguished senior gentleman. With some training, he could probably get back into the habit of 20 minute jogs. Currently his limit is 30-40 minute walks at a time, less if it's hot. We are sad to see him go, but believe that we he would be happier with an owner who can give him the attention he deserves. A very good dog.
