Story
Pixel’s 92 year old owner passed away at Thanksgiving ‘24. He had spent his life in an apartment, trained to pee pads and used to caregivers taking him out for walks and potty breaks. then he was placed in a very busy foster home with a lot of energy and a lot of dogs… And he has completely loved all of the opportunity to run around and play with the other dogs!! Looking for a home that has another playful dog for him, he absolutely loves having dog company. He walks nice on a leash and loves a lot of petting and sleeping on the bed beside you. His house manners are perfect even without ouppy pads down! He can navigate the stairs just fine and has had a full vet exam and comprehensive blood panel done that showed no health complications. He is very overweight, but gradually losing weight with more exercise with the other dogs. He is happy to play and chase toys and fetch them and bring them back to you. He cannot see as well as a younger dog, so he can be a little bit snappy if he doesn’t understand where your hand is going— Which is why kids are not recommended. He absolutely loves his stuffed animals, and literally came with a carload of toys when he was dropped off. This guy has a lot of life and love yet to give! Story
Meet Odin!Odin was found as a stray. The finder looked for several days (past the legal stray hold period) until releasing him to FURever FURkids.Odin is approximately a year old and weighs 40 pounds currently. So he is medium-large in size. He is neutered, updated on all shots, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. He is a little shy/scared at first, but comes around pretty quickly with women. He does prefer women to men. Loud/sudden movements tend to startle him and can be nippy (especially at the vet or with men at first), so please no kids in the home. He is great with other dogs. A home with a woman or women is ideal. He is very male selective, but loves my husband. He does great in an extra large kennel when no one is home and at night. So the bigger, the better! As long as he has plenty of potty breaks, he does very well in the house. He MUST have a secure fence, as he loves to run around and sniff. The adoption fee is $200 to an approved and loving home. All vet records will be given to the adopter at the time of adoption. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com*We do home checks for each pet before approving an adoption.*The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available. We do keep our website and Petfinder updated regularly.Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply.Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes! ##1868337##

Story
Meet Buddy: A Scruffy Companion in Search of a Loving Home   Are you ready to open your heart and home to a furry friend in need? Allow us to introduce you to Buddy, a charming and lovable scruffy dog with a heart as big as his soulful eyes. A lap dog that thinks he's a Chihuahua.  At 2.5 years he is 25 lbs and a great couch companion    Buddy's journey to finding a forever home has been filled with twists and turns. Sadly, he was abandoned in a neighborhood when his previous owner had to move to a nursing home. Despite the challenges he faced, Buddy has maintained his gentle spirit and resilient nature.  A few moments of flashbacks and fear can crop up when he's faced with uncertainty, but it quickly disappears when comforted by someone he knows.  This Schnauzer mix boy is housebroken and great on leash walks.  He is a sensitive soul who takes a little time to warm up due to being abandoned. Once you earn his trust, you'll discover him to be fiercely loyal and a loving companion like no other. .Buddy has a special way of becoming your shadow, following you from room to room, eager to be by your side and share in the warmth of companionship.  One of Buddy's endearing qualities is his ability to get along seamlessly with other dogs and cats. His friendly nature makes him an ideal match for a household with furry siblings. We believe Buddy would thrive in a home without young children, but older kids or a calm environment would be the perfect setting for him to blossom.   Buddy is a versatile pup who enjoys the great outdoors as much as he does the comfort of a cozy indoor space. A fenced-in yard would be a dream come true for Buddy, providing him with the freedom to explore and play safely. His love for both the indoors and outdoors makes him an adaptable companion, ready to join you on any adventure.   Are you the compassionate and patient individual or family that Buddy is searching for? If you're ready to open your heart to this scruffy sweetheart, you'll be rewarded with a lifetime of love, loyalty, and joy. Buddy is eagerly awaiting the chance to become a cherished member of your family. Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
