ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Puppy Policies: We do not adopt puppies under 6 months of age into apartment homes or homes without a fenced yard. All children in the home must be at least 5 years of age. We appreciate your understanding of these policies. Meet Coco This adorable 21lb Schnauzer with natural ears & tail is around 3 years old and full of love! Since he came from South Texas, we don’t know much about his past—but we do know he has the sweetest soul and the kindest heart .   Coco is a total foodie and his biggest dream is unlimited pets! Once you’ve earned his trust, you’re in his circle for life. He loves playing with toys, zooming around with his foster sibling, and going for walks—he’s a superstar on a leash!  Coco would do best in a home with older kids. At night, he sleeps peacefully in his crate, but when you’re out, he doesn’t need it—he’s a perfect gentleman! It might take him a moment to warm up to new people (he may even let out a little growl), but don’t worry—it’s just his way of making careful introductions.  If you’re looking for a loyal, loving pup who just wants cuddles, treats, and a forever home, Coco might be your guy!  If you would like to meet Coco, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Story
Meet Imogene! Imogene is the sweetest girl. She’s a 35 lb schnauzer mix and is around 5 1/2 years old. She loves walks (she’s used to two per day), playing fetch, belly rubs, and relaxing on the couch. She’s friendly with other dogs but has only ever lived in a solo dog household. She can bark sometimes and gets jumpy when guests arrive, but she’s quick to calm down - especially if she gets pets and scratches. She’s fully vetted, house trained, and sleeps indoors. Imogene would be a wonderful addition to any person or family without young children (under 10 yrs). To meet Imogene, please fill out an application.   Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application.  Adoption fee of $295 includes neuter/spay, microchip, heartworm testing, deworming, vaccinations, and other necessary procedures.  Applications without a phone number will not be processed.Applications can be found online at www.pawsofloverescue.com, under the adopt tab.  We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.  February 7, 2025, 12:00 pm

Story
Oreo is a sweet and energetic dog who defies her age. She was born Dec. 2009 (15 yrs young). With an agile spirit, she runs and climbs effortlessly, often mistaken for a puppy—a true testament to her vitality. My mother gifted her to me when she was 5 month old and able to be away from her mother (Oreo was my high-school graduation gift). This year, she proudly received a clean bill of health from the vet. She is microchipped. She comes with her own bed and crate, food bowls, food, clothes, shoes, toiletries, and a new grooming system, ready to be a cherished companion. Oreo loves to cuddle yet enjoys her independence. She brings her food close to her favorite human, sharing moments of joy. Her talent for alerting us to visitors is a delightful bonus, and she expresses her affection with sweet, loving licks. Spayed and gentle, she embodies a kind spirit. My husband and I are determined to find a loving home where she can thrive and continue her journey of joy and love.

I've got quite a tale to tell. One day, I was playing in my yard when I found a shiny stone. Suddenly, I was zapped with superpowers! I could run faster than a speeding bullet, leap over tall fences in a single bound. My family was amazed, but they knew my powers could cause trouble. So, they sent me here, to the shelter, where I could learn to control my abilities. It was tough, but I've become a real superhero! I'm ready for a new adventure now. Will you be my sidekick? I promise, together, we'll save the day!February 25, 2025, 11:48 am

Story
Meet Heidi! Heidi is a sweet 10 year old wore-haired terrier mix. Heidi, although older is a bundle of energy! She twirls when excited and has a such a sweet, playful disposition. Heidi is house-trained, great with dogs of all ages. Perfect with kids both young and old and even likes cats! She was surrendered to the Fort Worth Shelter as a Euthanasia request due to her elder owners no longer being able to care for her. She recently had a mass removed from her right side but is all healed up and ready for her forever home. Heidi is great on a leash but be careful to leash her inside before a walk as she will take off running without one! You’d never guess she was 10 yo by how quickly she can sprint down the street! lol. Heidi-Ho loves sleeping on your lap but at the same time, she isn’t a Velcro dog and is perfectly happy lounging alone. Heidi was taught the cutest beg command and resembles Lady from the Disney movie when a treat is presented. She currently has a short hair cut from her recent surgery but her top coat is a white curly wire hair and is so beautiful. Please consider Heidi for your family! A perfect pup!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
