Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Paxton is a 2 year old, 15 pound mini-Schnauzer.  We think Paxton was dumped because he is an Alpha dog who is dog selective.  I put that he needs to be the only dog in the home because he does not get along with most male dogs but loves the females. It is strange because I watch him play so well with some male dogs and other males dogs he just cannot tolerate.  He is just fine with all of the females. He is not aggressive in any way.  He did bark relentlessly at me when I first met him but that quickly changed later that day and now he is my friend.  He allows me to put pills in his mouth and handle him in any way.  He is just fearful when meeting new people.  If you choose Paxton please be prepared to let him decompress in your home so his fears will go away. He is crate trained but does not like to be in there. He walks very well on a leash.  Paxton would be a great friend to walk daily or run with.  He looks to me for guidance. If you are interested in adopting Paxton, please submit an application on the website below.  You are welcome to call me if you have any questions.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         December 31, 2024, 6:54 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This cute little girl is LADYBUG and she is such a good girl that I hardly know she is in my home.  She is 2 years old and weighs 12.5 pounds and has reached her adult height and weight. Her pictures are not that good but she is just a very cute little thing. LADYBUG gets along with everyone, all of the foster dogs and likes to play.  She is not over active just plays casually and has a good relationship with all of the other foster dogs in my home. LADYBUG came from our very high kill shelter here in San Antonio, TX after being picked up as a stray with road rash from being hit by a car.  She has no injuries and nothing needs to be cared for, she is completely healthy and very low maintenance on a daily basis. She walks well on a leash and rides in the car without getting car sick.  LADYBUG would be a good addition to any family as she adjust well in.  any environment.  She is crate and potty trained. Story
There’s no pup sweeter than Mr. Peter! Don’t let his rugged appearance fool you – this fella is in for a total transformation. Peter was found surviving on the streets covered in ticks, fleas, and matted fur. Although he was in rough shape, he has already started his makeover by heading over to Wash-Shake-Wag in San Antonio for a groom. Soon enough, he will be ready to pass his newfound gratitude on to a new family! As a Schnauzer mix, Peter is very friendly, smart, driven, and a little sassy at times. Schnauzers make popular dogs due to their unique appearance and fun personalities. They are often seen on TV and in movies due to their high intelligence and trainability! Peter would make a great dog for someone on the go–He seems to already be potty trained, and familiar with commands such as “sit” and “stay”! So, if you want a new buddy with a little scruff and a lot of potential, look no further than Peter. He will only get better with time!

Story
Jinkies! Jeepers! Velma and Daphne are ready to hop in your mystery machine and become the perfect addition to your gang. Their past owner surrendered them, and they are adjusting to this recent change but are quickly learning to trust again. Velma and Daphne have already come out of their shells around our SNIPSA staff – It’s clear they find comfort in a kind touch, and it won’t take long for them to bond with new Mystery Incorporated families. Thought to be Schnauzer/Poodle mixes, these two girls are predisposed to be highly intelligent and active. They will appreciate an owner devoted to their continued socialization, and who can also offer them space for their eventual zoomies! Velma and Daphne already appear to be pretty food-motivated, as they won’t ever refuse a Scooby Snack (a.k.a. chicken jerky)! This will make them great candidates for training as they settle more into domestic life. We have no doubt these sweet, gentle giants will make loyal companions, given a little more time! Will you give one or both of these iconic ladies a home to thrive in? We need some help from you, now! Apply today!

Story
Bonnie, Bon Bon, Baby Girl or just Bee–You can call her anything and she’ll adore you just the same! This pretty pup was recently transferred from Bexar County Animal Facility to SNIPSA, and she has since been adjusting to rescue life. We haven’t known her for long, but have so far observed her to have a gentle, quiet disposition. Bonnie walks well on her leash, too, and appears to be fully potty-trained! We are excited to see her transition into foster care or a forever home, where she can truly flourish and show off her true personality. With her snowy white fur and heterochromia (different colored eyes), this girl is 100% unique, and not to mention, stunning. She seems like an easy fit into just about any abode. If you’d like to take a shot with miss Bonnie, apply to meet her! She will return your kindness tenfold.
