Story
Please contact Chandler Jaffe (chandler.jaffe@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Scruffy Faced Hipster LULIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Lulie and other great adoptable dogs this Saturday (01/25) from 12-2 pm at the Unleashed by Petco Yorktown in Arlington, VA (5400 Langston Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22207)!     Name:  Lulie            Best Guess for Breed:  Schnauzer/Lab       Best Guess for Age:  8 months as of Dec. 2024            SEX:  Female   Estimated Weight (still has some growing to do):  27lbs as of 12/27   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! Lulie was also very gentle with children at an adoption event, although she has not lived with children to our knowledge. We haven't seen Lulie with cats but she can be tested.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Lulie would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Lulie is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Lulie! Me and my littermates, Legend, Loki, Lucy, Lena & Leo, have loved our time together, but we are each ready to pack our bags and find our very own forever home! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me?       What My Foster Says About Me: Lulie is doing great! She has some puppy energy and loves to chew on bones and other toys. She is making progress with potty and crate training. She's super friendly with other dogs in our building but fears the bigger pups at first when she meets them. She would probably love another dog in the home to show her the ropes! She's a very loving pup! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.      TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Trixie is a 4-year-old mix of Schnauzer and Terrier who has reached her mature weight of 25-30 pounds! She wears a long coat of tan and cream that will need to be groomed every few months so she can look her finest! This sweet girl was surrendered by her owner who could no longer care for her. She does well with other dogs but not with cats! Trixie is a gentle girl who always wants to be cuddled and be by your side. She enjoys going for walks and lying in her plush bed.
