Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Huxley came to us with his girlfriend Haven a couple of weeks after we took in their 2 baby girls.  Their owner left the country and a family member took them in.  Soon after they realized Haven was pregnant so they kept them until the puppies were ready for homes.  They couldn't keep them permanently because they already had dogs of their own.  So now it's Huxley's turn to find a permanent family that will make his next home his last home.   He's a nice boy and great size at 34 pounds.  Not too small and not too big.  He is house trained and been a nice guest in his foster home.  He was never crate trained and doesn't appreciate being in a crate, not for long anyways (he messed up a crate door to escape when he first arrived).  We are requiring a securely fenced yard for this guy so he can safely explore his yard while out on potty breaks or hanging out with you outside.     Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 20, 2025, 7:43 pm

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 Meet Ash💗 • With People: Needs time to warm up to strangers! She tends to shy away and tremble but stays calm when petted. With familiar people, she wags her tail and even relaxes comfortably by their side. • With Dogs: Enjoys slow introductions with new dogs. If another dog shows signs of discomfort, Ash also expresses unease. With familiar dog friends, she naturally approaches and greets them. She prefers spending time alone over playing actively with other dogs. • With Cats: Shows a strong interest in cats while walking. • Separation Anxiety: Whines when her guardian prepares to leave. When left alone for about five hours, she tends to scratch at doors and tries to get past safety gates. • House Training: Fully outdoor potty trained. She goes on walks 2-3 times a day for bathroom breaks. • Walking: Walks well without pulling! She may pull slightly when crossing streets but adjusts to her guardian’s pace. • Grooming: Stays calm during baths! Initially resists tooth brushing but remains still once it begins. • Car Sickness: Gets nervous in cars, trembling and panting. She is slowly adjusting and improving over time. 💌Special Notes💌 • A smart pup who has mastered “Sit, Paw, Lie Down, and Stay”! • Startles easily due to her timid nature, especially with sudden movements or approaches. She is fine with radio or audio sounds but finds TV noises a bit scary. • A gentle and cautious personality. Though shy, she is gradually opening up and expressing herself more. • Currently undergoing kennel training—she now sleeps and eats treats inside her kennel. ❗Health Status❗ • Spayed: Yes • Other: Microchipped, scheduled for heartworm recheck in June 2025. 🧡 Foster's Instagram: @ash__wad

Story
Ethereal is a 7-year-old, 10.5-pound mini Schnauzer/Poodle mix who's as adorable as her name suggests. This happy girl is full of sunshine and absolutely adores attention—she'll light up any room with her cheerful presence. She is super sweet and eager to please and loves to be right by your side at all times.Ethereal has a very playful spirit. One of her favorite games is hide and seek which can launch her in to major zoomies with her tail wagging and body wiggling. It is quite cute and entertaining!True to the her Schnauzer mix, she is highly alert to sights and sounds, even watching the birds fly around in the air. She loves to watch the deer and other wildlife but has never acted aggressive or barked at them. Her crate training is coming along well. When directed, she will walk into the kennel by herself although she would rather sleep on the bed with you. She may whine at first but quickly goes to sleep. She is for the most part house-broken and has only had a few accidents. We take her outside frequently throughout the day to form a consistent routine and she goes to the restroom right away without getting distracted. Oh, and she walks on a leash like a pro!!Ethereal is a sweet, precious, gentle, and intelligent dog that would pretty well fit in with most families. I haven't seen her interact with other dogs but I could see her getting along well with another dog that she could play with.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.April 16, 2025, 7:00 am

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Let’s get this OVERLOOKED and chronically happy boy into a home! Rex is a 2.5-year-old, 60lb Schnauzer/Border Collie mix who is looking for his forever home. Rex has the best of both worlds when it comes to being a terrier and border collie mixed in one. He is spunky, incredibly SMART, and just about 100% goofball! He learns quickly and is very receptive to training and corrections from his handler. Although Rex has energy, he has no problem burning it through a fun game of fetch. He LOVES fetch! Rex would also enjoy an active household that will take him on adventures and continue his basic obedience training. He is very playful, will be a great adventure buddy, and you will find him rolling around and army crawling on some grass about 80% of the time. Rex is great with other dogs and more so minds his business especially when there’s a ball around. So he wouldn’t mind being an additional dog in a home or being an only dog with continued socialization. This scruffy boy has so many great qualities and would love to find his forever family soon and get started on a life full of adventures and fetch with his peeps. Let’s make this the year Rex finds a home, you will not find another dog like him! Rex is UTD on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450.
