Story
Little Alexander showed up on our deck on a freezing snowy night about a month and a half ago. He was crying and I put food out for him but knew it was too cold to leave him outside. I was able to lure him in and put him on a quiet floor to be safe and warm. He started coming out of his shell to show a super cute and playful kitten side. Unable to find owners, we kept him and got him vetted and neutered. He is estimated to be about 8m old and it shows. Uses litter box but needs alot of play and supervision. We have 3 other cats and a dog. The dog he is not a fan of and seems to want to fight/play and the other cats are not about it. He is the cutest and cuddliest little boy and it breaks my heart but he deserves a better home. I will continue to help out with his care if needed as I am very attached but it isn't working for our family any more.

Story
Pissy is names pissy for a reason. She’s a very loving older kitty who is very particular about when and where you pet her! Head and shoulders are fine, but when she’s had enough, she’ll let you know! She is an indoor/outdoor cat when weather is good. She’s been inside ALL winter this year (because of cold temps) and has done just fine. She used to live with our husky and our Newfoundland mix with no issues. I love her, but with husband now retired, there will be a lot of travel, and paying someone to watch her is not an option.

Story
Lucy is an incredibly sweet and playful young Tabby cat. She loves to cuddle, especially in cold weather, and often falls alseep on my belly when I lay in bed. Every day when I come home, she greets me at the door by rubbing against my legs and purring. She loves to chase lasers and a toy mouse on a string. Lucy is shy but open to meeting strangers. I have had people come feed her while I am on vacation with no trouble. She has never sincerely bitten or scratched me, only lightly during play. I have only ever heard her hiss at stray cats from the window. I don't know how she reacts with other house pets. Because she is not fixed, she does have a problem with territorial spraying, especially when I open my windows and the outdoor scents come in. It is my understanding that having her spayed should correct this. She is OBSESSED with plants and will eat them, which is not healthy. Plants must be kept far from her reach! This little sweetheart deserves a warm and loving forever-home!

Story
Hello - This is Lucy.. she’s a sweet girl, very mellow, not a jumper on counters, etc - she just mainly likes her end of the couch. Lucy is 9 years old and has been with me since she was adopted as a 2-year old. She is wonderful with children, but does not do well with other animals. I have developed severe allergies and must rehome her, sadly. She is such a sweetheart - has never made a mess - just enjoys her treats. She is very healthy - no meds and has vet records. If you can give her a home, she will great you at the door each evening.

Story
We found Mama Ellie (roughly between 1-3 years old) and her 6 babies in an old shed by the train tracks in our driveway back in June. We’ve since adopted out most of her kids and they’ve all been given clean bills of health from their vets. Ellie started out very scared of us, but was willing to let us help her and her kittens for months before finally warming up to us. She is still very shy and has only just recently let us pet and love on her, so she will need some gentle loving wherever she ends up, but she will make an amazing house cat! She likes feather wands, but prefers the stick to the actual feather! Her best friend is her son, Solomon (dark gray tuxedo in third picture). It would be amazing to adopt them out together, but if you can only find room for her, we would be so grateful. Our situation is dire, and we need to find homes for the remaining three cats as soon as possible because our landlord is requiring it immediately

Story
Solomon is 10 months old (estimated b-day: April 16th). Him and his family were found in an old shed by the train tracks in our driveway back in June. All but one sibling and his mama have been adopted out since then, and they've all been given clean bills of health by their vets. He's still shy with humans, but once he's in your arms, he can cuddle with you for hours. He hasn't really reacted much to dogs that we've had in the house, and he's grown up with 5 siblings, so other animals in the house should be okay, with the proper introductions. Solomon is a very submissive male and a mamas boy, earning the nickname "Backpack" because he would always curl up on Ellie's back as a kitten. He loves silver vine teething sticks, spring toys, and feather wands. It would be amazing to adopt him and mama out together, but if you can only take him, we'd be very grateful. Our situation is dire, and we need to find homes for these cats asap because our landlord is requiring it immediately

Story
Constantine is a friendly black cat that lives in our communal boy’s room. He came to us as a stray in January of 2023 with his brother Cornelius. Constantine and Cornelius are a bonded pair, which means they must go home together! We have caught them snuggling and playing with each other and walking with their tails intertwined on numerous occasions! Constantine can be a little timid with people at times, but since being brought to the shelter, he has gotten much more used to our staff, volunteers, and visitors. Although Constantine and his brother will be going home together, they would happily accept another friend, they are colony cats through and through! If you are looking for a bonded pair, they may be perfect for you!

Story
Pumpernickel is a spunky sweet girl who lives in the shelter lobby. She was brought to us in February of 2023, and has spent most of her time here managing the front desk! She is an independent lady who will let you know if she wants attention but isn’t afraid to tell you when she’s had enough. We believe Pumpernickel has the world's best grumpy face and creekiest meow! Don’t let her face fool you, she really is a sweet girl! Pumpernickel is looking for a home where she can be the queen bee and take long afternoon naps in the warm sun!
