Story
I Used to work at a no-kill shelter in Utah where Hippo was rescued off a reservation. Despite being in college Hippo was coming up to her 2nd anniversary at the shelter and I couldn't leave her. So now she is in school with me and has adjusted to dorm life well(no accidents, no excessive barking, etc) but It isn't a great life for a dog, and while I can keep her for up to a year I am entering a pretty unstable period in my life that I worry is not the best for her. While it breaks my heart, if there is a better home out there Hippo has waited a long time and deserves someone who can provide her with everything she needs! Hippo is 5 years old, very smart, trainable, and eager to please. She is super cuddly and wants to be a lap dog, mellow but is pretty athletic. Her coloring indicates some heeler but she doesn't have a heeler personality at all. She loves people given an introduction and prefers women over men. This dog has a great personality and she brings so much love.
