Story
Mattie is the best girl! It's very hard to have to think of rehoming her. But my son and I have both developed allergies to her. He to the point of asthma. Mattie needs someone who understands the breed. While we haven't had any trouble introducing her to other dogs, slowly, she'd ideally do best in a home of her own because she tends to get anxious trying to "herd" everyone and keep up with everyone. She does well with cats but it would need to be a dog savvy cat as she likes to play with ours. They know to remind her when she's getting too playful. I do not recommend a home with small children for her. She is nervous around them. She has never bitten anyone but small children make her nervous like I said. She is crate trained and potty trained. She LOVES the water. We lived on the beach and she learned to "surf". We don't have the ocean but she loves the lake. We put her life jacket on her and she swims with the kids. She's a sweetheart!
