Story
Helloooooo world! My name is HAN SOLO (Simba) and here is a little info about me:Breed: (Similar to a) Tibetan Mastiff (Gaddi dog, like a smaller version of the Tibetan)Age: 5 weeksGender: maleWeight: tbd, ~ 3.5 kgsCountry of origin: IndiaHighlight(s): playful, intelligent, affectionate, energetic, charming, loveable, cuddly, friendly As you will read about my rescuer's reactions to me, I am just that cute and snuggly. Solo, as in found by myself or because my personality is bigger than life like that awesome Star Wars guy, you choose.Found sleeping alone by the side of the road, my rescuer happened across me while seeing off relatives. In India, where stray dogs are common, it’s usual to move puppies away from busy streets to keep them safe. But the moment the rescuer picked me up, I curled up in her arms and fell asleep. She couldn’t bring herself to put me down. My rescuer lives in the UAE and already cares for three adult dogs or she would have adopted me without hesitation. For now, I am being fostered by her brother, until I find my forever home.I won hearts with my cute antics and even arrived house-trained (though I still have the occasional puppy accident.)Just a goofy baby, full of life, I am ready to engage with the world and anybody in it. I love my toys and am always ready for fun. Since I'm teething, I enjoys chewing and can’t resist carrots and fruits like papaya and apples. With my charm, energy, and loveable personality, I am a joy to have around – and will surely bring happiness wherever I go.I am a playful and curious pup, as you will see in my videos. I am brimming with energy as I eagerly explores my surroundings and interact with people and other animals. Not to be forgotten, I am quite  affectionate and enjoy cuddles and attention, yet I am also starting to show growing independence, as I learn to navigate this newfound world. Quick to learn, my intelligence shines through with every new experience. With encouragement, socialization and training, my friendly and loving nature will undoubtedly make me a cherished companion.I will likely grow up into a medium-large sized pup with a big fluffy coat of fur. It would be super to have a yard, but barring that, if we just get out for adventures on a regular basis, I'm sure that could be bypassed. I just need a home who understands puppies and larger breeds. Vids coming. Energy Level: moderate - high, puppy levels. When older, likely moderateI get along with:Dogs: yes.Cats: unknown, but as a puppy, I should be able to adapt fine.Kids: unknown, but being young yet, I don't recognize people size differences, so likely fine. Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: briefly describeLeash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I am too young yet to be spayed/neutered, but I am vaccinated. Spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the adopter and is required for my adoption to be finalized. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2259758##
