Story
Meet Sadie, a sweet and gentle 2-year-old female Shephard mix with a heart full of love. Abandoned by her owners on the side of a busy road, Sadie was rescued by the local shelter before we stepped in to save her. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a calm, loving nature that makes her an ideal companion. Sadie will need a forever home with lots of love and patience as she is very skittish to sounds and lots of movement (she often run and hides).Sadie is now looking for her forever home where she can share her boundless affection and loyalty. She can be transported out of Texas for a fee of $230. Don’t miss the chance to welcome this amazing girl into your life—Sadie truly deserves a loving family to call her own.Fill out our adoption application and bring Sadie home today! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41Disclaimer: I am located in Texas. Story
Animal Profile: Rosie is a stunning, 85lb 2.5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog. She was recently surrendered to DGS when her owners were no longer able to meet her needs. They lived on JBLM, and did not have a fenced yard. She had some separation anxiety but was not crated, and accidentally unplugged a hose to the washing machine, which resulted in a little flooding... Rosie was excitable and reactive on leash, and mom was a high risk pregnancy. With two other young children in the household, Rosie's size and behavior became too much to manage. She previously lived with a male dog and two young children and got along great with everyone. They loved her and wanted her to find the perfect family. We promised we would do that for her! Foster Update: Rosie has been working on her crate training and leash manners in foster care with Cortney of mcmonsontrainingcenter.com She is an affectionate, social, playful girl that is friendly with other dogs after introductions. Rosie can be pushy, and would do best with a balanced male companion, male/female pack, or she would be fine as an only dog. We are looking for a home dedicated to continuing her training so she can be the best version of herself and enjoy life out and about with her new family. Rosie would do best in a single family dwelling with a securely fenced yard. No first time dog owners. No apartments. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Rosie was surrendered to DGS foster care on 07/30/2024. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. August 19, 2024, 7:36 pm
