Story
My name is Blu. I come from a beautiful place located in southern Humboldt county. I previously had a family but they left me behind, along with my other brothers and sisters. My rescuer knew I was here but it took her some time trying to track me down due to my street smarts. I didn't know I had condition with hurt paws until I couldn't walk any more. I ended up just laying down in a neighbor's yard hoping someone would help me. The neighbor saw me right away and instantly put me in a carrier and called my rescuer. Since then I have been on oral medication and my foot has been getting better and better. In fact, it almost back to normal. I have put on healthy weight thanks to the regular meals I have been getting. I am a very relaxed, laid back teen kitten. I just love being cared for again - pets. loves, and even kisses. If you adopt me I will just hang out next to you and be the happiest cat ever. I have the sweetest blue eyes too. When they look into people's eyes to see if people are kind or not and when they see love and kindness there, I am so happy. I feel so much better now. I get along with other others cats and don't really mind friendly dogs either. Blu has been spayed, microchipped, deflead, dewormed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and gotten her basic shots. She is so ready to find her loving home. Her foot condition is almost back to normal. It is possible it could recur but medication manages it. Healthful living will probably reduce the risk greatly. Life in the wild is rough on kittens. An application, landlord approval if renting, safety home check and adoption fee are required. Discount to seniors, military/veterans, and with proof of disability.

Story
Sylvie is a sweet almost 14 year old Siamese cat. She loves to be brushed and take a nap in the sun. Sylvie is curious one who likes to sit on the window sill and look out the window. She is calm in nature but wants lots of love on her own terms. In return she will give you kisses on your fingers, snuggle up to you or gently tap you for more affection. Sylvie has only been an inside cat, a one person cat (until recently) and does not do well around dogs. Her owner recently passed and she is nor doing well in a relative's home with other pets. She needs to be a one and only. She would do well with another senior caretaker. Spayed, up to date on shots, negative for FeLV/FIV.

Story
Who has a big heart and a big cat safe yard or catio? This is Simon (aka Rebel) who was once a free roaming semi-feral being cared for by a feeder in Eureka. One day he was horribly injured. The injury was a massive bite wound through one of his eyes and into his head. It got infected. Concerned neighbors saw him, bloody and covered in wounds. They posted about him, and with their help two rescues banded together and got him vet care. First, he was treated for the infection. Once recovered, his eye was removed and he was neutered, got his shots and was tested. He tested FIV positive. After recovering from that surgery he is now looking for a soft place to land. He is such an amazing survivor. He submitted to all sorts of medication, confinement and treatments. He is pettable and not aftaid of people. However, he is not a lap cat or a cuddler at this point. The vet thinks he is about 7-8 years old. Is there someone somewhere who would give this miracle boy a safe and soft landing? Additional photos in the comments. Some may difficult for some people to view. Just remember, he lived it, and came through it ?? Simon needs to be the only cat or have maybe one other independent cat that can live harmoniously without becoming a friend. His life has been rough but he has the capacity to bond to his caregiver. He will be truly beautiful once he has completely healed and all his shaved fur grow back. He really cannot return to living on the streets but likes the outdoor atmosphere. He also likes regular food and does best on a feeding schedule. The vet felt he needed to gain 2-3 pounds to be at his best weight. Simon really deserves a place to live out the rest of his life in peace and safety. Adoption fee is negotiable for the right adopter.
