Meet Donnie, a big, goofy ball of energy with a heart as big as his enthusiasm! Donnie is a strong young boy who loves to show off just how fast he can run in the play yard—he’s all about speed and fun! He’s got plenty of pep, and he loves to burn off that energy playing with his favorite toys. Donnie is incredibly toy motivated—he’ll chase a ball or toy with excitement, and when he brings it back, he’ll drop it right at your feet, eager for you to throw it again. He knows the command "sit" and will do so on cue, especially if there’s a tasty treat involved. His playtime is a great way to bond, and his enthusiasm is contagious. Donnie is very much a people person who loves attention from anyone passing by. He’s like a gentle giant who absolutely *adores* cuddling and touch. With his energetic and goofy side, Donnie also has a relaxing, chill side. After burning off some of his energy, he’s calm and easy to walk on the leash. He’s great in the car and is heavily treat motivated, making training a breeze. Friendly and outgoing, Donnie is always excited to meet new people and show off his playful side. He’s sure to keep you laughing with his antics and is looking for an active home that can keep up with his high energy and zest for life. Donnie’s playful personality makes him a great companion for an active family or someone who loves outdoor adventures. Whether it’s a run in the park, a fun game of fetch, or some relaxed cuddle time, he’s always ready to play and have a blast! If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who can bring plenty of joy and playtime to your life, Donnie is the one for you! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
