Story
Hi! I'm Ted, a one-year-old, 10-lb toy poodle. I'm an athletic, loving, cute and cuddly guy who is just looking for a family to call my own. General Behavior: Ted (or Teddy to his friends) is incredibly affectionate, playful and loves everyone. Likes & Dislikes: Ted loves to sit on your lap and snuggle. He is a true velcro dog to the point that he dislikes any other dogs coming between him and his person. Training: Ted is a good boy! He is housebroken and tells you when he needs to go out. He loves car rides and behaves like a gentleman any place you take him. He walks well on a leash, sleeps in the people bed at night, and generally has good basic manners. Medical: Ted is a healthy boy! He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm prevenatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Ted needs to be the only dog in the home, as he likes keeping his people all to himself. He has not been observed around cats yet, but his foster does not think that he would get along with them either. Children: Ted needs a home with kind, older, understanding children only (ages 8+). Home: Ted needs a single-family home. He does bark when he sees things he doesn’t know, like strangers coming to the house, so he would not do well in a condo or apartment. He also barks if left alone, so it’s best if somebody is home most of the day.  Grooming: As a poodle, Ted will need regular brushing (at least once a week) plus professional grooming abou every 6-8 weeks to keep his coat in tip-top shape. Overall: Ted will make a great companion for a sweet family who can lavish him with attention and love. Has Ted lassoed your heart? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption donation is $550. ##2337699##
