Story
This cutie-pie is PIPER, a 3 year old, 13-14 pound, mixed breed suspected to be a Wirehaired Fox Terrier / Poodle mix. She is a GREAT little dog! Piper's coat is soft and has curl so she does require routine grooming, along with regular brushing. Piper is a very sweet pup who is happy to receive belly rubs while being held in your arms like a baby. She absolutely loves people and would be OK with children over the age of 10 years. On July 15, Piper required emergency surgery to remove her one eye due to a ruptured cornea. She is recovering very well and should be up to her playful self in no time. Piper is definitely an active, playful, spunky dog who would do best in a household with another playful dog to help work through her energy through play time and rough housing. Piper can be a little bossy with the other dogs but she is not rough, so a more laid back dog would be ideal. She walks well on a leash and would love to run a fenced in yard. Piper is housebroken and crate trained but has not needed to be crated (she doesn’t like the crate). She is not a good match for someone living in an apartment or condo because she does bark at sounds or activities she sees/hears outside. This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, received inoculations, been tested for Heartworm Disease and tick diseases, plus spayed and microchipped.
