Story
Please welcome Rover to Buffalo Pug & Small Breed Rescue ! He is a 3-1/2 year old toy poodle weighing in at 5.6 pounds who is a breeder release.  He is crate trained (although he prefers to sleep on the couch if I let him lol).  He is house broken as long as you let him out every few hours. If you can’t- he will potty on a washable pee pad if need be.   Rover has started to learn leash walking- he is improving every day but will need to be continued by adopter.   He is an inquisitive little man- so a secure fence is required for him. He will find the smallest opening in a fence and squeeze through it.    He has good recall and also likes to steal the other dogs food- so it’s suggested to feed separately so everyone gets their meals. He does like to “hump” other dogs currently- that should start to dimish as the hormones level out from his neuter.   He has a lot of tartar on his teeth so he will require a dental to be done at the adopters expense ( we will supply you with a low cost dental vet). Hershey also has luxating patellas which doesn't slow him down (no medical intervention is needed). He just will need a set of pet stairs to get onto the couch and deter him from jumping off of things.   He has shown no aggression with food, toys, or dogs. He will chase squirrels and birds, also cats. Not to harm them but to try and play with to them. He is a sweet soul and does well with kids (if too rambunctious he will just observe them until he knows they mean no harm).   If you’re looking for a sweet lap dog who loves to explore-he is your boy!   NY AG MKTS/RR 363Rover is being fostered in BuffaloRover's adoption donation is $550

Story
Hi everyone I'm Trina! I am a 4 year old toy poodle weight 6-7 lbs. I am in a foster home with dogs of other sizes. I am crate and house trained in my foster home when kept on a schedule. I was retired from a life of breeding so I can be a bit shy with people at first but I love my foster mom. I am unfamiliar with leash walking and will need to work on this in my forever home.    Applications for adoption can be completed on our website: allieandpalsrescue.org/adopt ##2148465##
