BARC welcomes BEL-AIR to rescue! This 8 pound 10 week old puppy is German shepherd / hound mix with a pinch of bulldog. Truly, an all pup. The owner was not able to keep them and asked for help. They have been shown love and are well socialized and the makings of an ideal family pet. They are very intelligent and quick learners. All are beautiful and will be more beautiful with love, affection and care. They will make perfect family pets and be more appreciative than most as they know how fortunate they are. Kay Kay wasn’t found in the best condition by a homeless woman, and then by SGER. Kay Kay was found with an extension cord around her neck, no hair due to a skin infection, and nails so long they were curling and made it hard/painful for her to walk. This sweet chunky girl will also have spots where she won’t have hair due to the years of neglect she suffered before SGER took her in. Now she roams the rescue where she plays, sleeps, and clearly enjoys eating and treats. This girl wants nothing more than someone to love and call her own where they will spoil her with love and a lap to rest her head. Kay Kay is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on HW prevention, crate trained, and house trained. She is an all around wonderful girl that loves everyone and everything. Kay Kay can be cat tested upon request.

This gorgeous sweetheart has a great playful and loving personality that her foster mama just loves. She is a well rounded girl with the puppy goofies and snuggles! She would be a great addition to any home!SGER FAQs:We are a 501c3 non profit rescue.Your information in our application is not shared and is protocol for adoption. Here is the application link. https://shorturl.at/syCM3All of our dogs have age-appropriate vaccinations, if over 6 months old are spayed or neutered, if under 6 months adopter is responsible for having that done between 6 and 10 months of age (we can offer some low cost options for you), microchipped with lifetime free membership, dewormed and will go home with a 3 to 5 day dewormer as well. Any medical conditions known are disclosed to the best of our ability. Adults are hw tested and status is disclosed. Please don't let HW positive dogs deter you. Please ask us and we will gladly explain the slow kill process! If you are out of state or out of area that is not a problem, we do offer relay transport for a small additional fee to cover health certificates required for private interstate travel and additional vetting required. We run solely on donations and house 100 plus dogs and 10 plus horses at any given time. Please be patient but if you do not hear from us within 48 hours of submitting your application please reach out. We are human and we do get very busy sometimes. Adoption fees range from $150 to $400 We do not offer discounts of any kind. Adoption fees are set fees and not negotiable. These fees help with vetting on current and future animals we take in. We do not offer walk through "choose a dog/puppy" type experience. Story
Avery is a special girl that came to us after being found eating trash on the side of the road. She is a total sweetheart that was dealt a crappy start to her life, but we're determined to make the rest of her life better than she could ever imagined. For a dog that has clearly been abused and neglected, she is still very loving and willing to meet new people. She has met a few different volunteers and vet staff without any big issues. Her only reaction to being scared is she will pee when approached, but will let you love on her with a gentle hand. She tends to jump, we're working on it, so we think a home with children over 5 would be the best so she doesn't knock any little kids down. She gets along with dogs and people. She can be cat tested.

Maeve is the floppiest dog you'll ever meet! We met her as a scared street dog, afraid to get within ten feet of people. After just her first month in a loving home, she now wants to be as near to her people as physically possible. Maeve is a snuggle bug and a complete goofball, the funniest dog on the planet. There's only one thing she loves more than her food and that's other dogs! She's always patient and playful with her fellow pup pals, just a genuinely sweet soul. She's still scared of some things, like strangers outside, road signs, and the ceiling fan, but she's learning to be braver everyday! A great home for Maeve would be one in a quiet neighborhood where there are less big, scary noises with a family willing to be patient with her as she learns to face the world as a brave Maeve. It will be well worth it as she'll fall in love with you just like she has with us.
