Story
Winnie is a 4 year old tri-colored treeing walker coonhound. She is 62 pounds and is ready for a forever home.  She is a very sweet girl that just wants to be near her people and please them. She is full of energy and enjoys running and playing with toys. Winnie would do best with another dog as she has shown a lot of enthusiasm in her foster home with playing with other dogs. She does ok in her kennel when her foster's aren't  home and they actually can leave her to roam and she doesn't bother or tear anything up. She loves other dogs and people, including children as young as 3 years old, but is not good with cats. She is potty trained. She loves going for car rides. Winnie does bark some when she is outside, she has the typical hound bark! She would do best with a very secured fenced yard to run out her extra energy as she is a digger and an escape artist. She is ok on a leash but tends to pull as she has her nose to the ground most of the time and if she gets on a scent. Winnie sleeps on the couch overnight or in her fosters bedroom. She is a great dog, she just needs some continued training with manners.  Winnie's adoption fee of $300 helps cover her spay, vaccines, microchip with registration, heartworm test, flea preventions, and heartworm preventions. To make her a part of your family, please apply at gfrpets.org/apply ##1828874##

Story
Ralphie is a charming, almost 10-year-old Basset Hound/Beagle mix weighing in at a lovable 53.5 pounds. He's a trustworthy boy who can be loose in the house without having an accident.  His favorite place to sleep is in bed with his people. His hobbies include sniffing around the yard, going for walks, and enjoying car rids. This smartie knows "sit" and is very motivated by food and affection. Ralphie is great with people and other dogs, making him a wonderful companion in a multi-pet household. Although he hasn’t been around kids while in our care, Ralphie is wonderful with every kid he meets. He's happiest when he’s napping or enjoying a meal, as long as his loved ones are nearby. He's very loving, but not clingy. His foster mom shares: "Ralphie l ikes to curl up and watch TV or just be near the pack. He gets along with the three dogs in our house and goes equally to my husband or me. He’s dearly loved by our entire family, and we want nothing more than to find him the perfect forever family! And don’t let his sad hound eyes fool you, he’s very happy go-lucky!" If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will be your shadow and your best friend, Ralphie is the perfect match! His minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
