Bibby hasn't experienced any stability in his life and can be wary of new people so he just needs a little extra time to get to know you. Once he does he will be the best velcro dog! Bibby is very high energy and would love a family who is just as active. A lot of people think twice before getting a pet because of the amount of exercise and stimulation they could require. And that's true, many dogs and certain breeds, NEED physical activity every day and mental stimulation every day. etc. And that can be exhausting. BUT KATHARINA IS A UNICORN. This sweet, QUIET girl doesn't even want to take walks around the neighborhood. She's quiet. Snuggly. Sweet. And a TOTAL HOMEBODY. Katharina DOES NOT want to go on hikes, runs, hang out at breweries or dog parks, etc. Katharina DOES want to sit with you in your house, watch TV, hang out while you work from home, lay in the kitchen with you while you cook dinner, go outside to potty and come back inside, etc. She is the quietest, sweetest homebody around. Katherina is a 5-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, around 75 pounds. She would prefer a home without children, she is great with other dogs in the home and would need a fenced in backyard. Katherina is also crate and house trained. If you are interested in adopting Katherina, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. Good with dogs/cats? Yes to dogs, no cats. Good with men/women/kids? Yes. We believe she would do best in a home without small children. Personality: a little shy at first, but she warms up to be friendly, playful, and affectionate. Reason for rescue: came in through animal control after being picked up as a stray with her 3 pups. Lily is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on vaccinations and preventatives.
