Story
Paul: 75 lb Treeing Walker Coonhound boy, neutered, HW negative, UTD on all shots and preventions. House trained, crate trained. Paul is your quintessential coonhound pal, who is one big dopey baby- Saved from a high kill rural Virginia shelter literally JUST in time, he is enjoying life on a couch in his foster home, sharing the house with a one year old human and his parents. He gets along great with the other dogs in the home. Paul loves cuddling with his family in the bed, and definitely has a sense of humor! He likes toys and playtime in the yard. He is obsessed with dog TV shows and couch lounging. He particularly enjoys watching dog shows and football. Paul is house trained, neutered, and up to date on all shots and preventions. Email Jennyfiddle@yahoo.com and tell us a bit about your household, hound and dog experience, and how you will accommodate Paul into your home. We will send you a link to an adoption application/survey. Please email jennyfiddle@yahoo.com and Hannah's Hounds and let us know a little about yourself and how you will accommodate Paul into your home.

Story
Goofy Gus was hanging out in a shelter just north of Nashville, where his chances were looking a bit slim. He is now fully embracing cozy house life at his foster's house in Nashville, where he gets to sing along with all the other musicians in town. He is a big Cadillac of a coonhound, weighting in around 70 lbs.. A large, dopey, goofy boy, he has the BEST puppy dog sad eyes and face, but he quickly waggles his whole body and gives his humans grunts, smiles, and kisses. He is literally the cuddliest coonhound we have ever been around.... He walks GREAT on a leash and would love to explore both city and woods on leash with you. Gus also loves to lay around in the sun and shade, but would love an active family who has a large 6 ft fenced in yard. Please email jennyfiddle@yahoo.com and introduce yourself- please tell us about your household and how you plan to accommodate Gus into your household. We will forward you an application link.

Story
Karo is an incredibly sweet senior Hound who LOVES people!!! Which is surprising considering he was locked in a closet for the entirety of his 12 years on this earth. He came to us severely emaciated and was intact with a large testicular tumor and a smaller one as well. We recently had him neutered and that removed which is considered curative by the doctor for Karo-YAY! Karo is VERY sweet but because of his total lack of resources and the incredible amount of neglect he endured his entire 12 years, he will snatch food out of your hand and you can get got if you aren't very careful. Because of this we set food and treats on the floor and are careful to show our hands a lot with him. He does also drink a lot and the vet thinks this is also because of his lack of resources his entire life. We are working on potty training him because he was used to just going where he slept in the closet for his lifetime.  While intact he did not seem to like other intact, or possibly all, male dogs. We were only able to test with a senior intact male where he is now. He did seem perfectly fine with the higher energy smaller female dogs that played rough around him though! He also can be vocal when you leave him because he was so starved for attention the first 12 years of his life.March 11, 2025, 12:49 pm

Story
Gatsby is an INCREDIBLY sweet, chill boy who we just recently pulled from Metro Animal Care & Control. He is still intact but will be neutered middle of March, has a stage 3 out 6 heart murmur that we have started him on meds for but he is currently symptom free (and could remain that way for years with this med-it extends the amount of time before they would have shown symptoms another 15 months!), and will have a dental and an old cherry eye that was never treated removed middle of March as well. But Gatsby is literally the sweetest boy!!!!! He has done some marking where he is but we are working on that and the neutering should help with that as well. He has learned to use the dog door and is a smart guy and loves to be snuggled! He does great in a car and would just make someone a best buddy. He is also great around other dogs and good with body handling so we think could be great with kids! He does need to lose about 5 pounds but with increased activity and care for his food regimen we think he'll drop that quick!March 6, 2025, 11:08 am
