Spaghetti is nothing short of amazing. She has been 100% house trained, well-mannered and so sweet. Her little tail will get to wagging as soon as she knows she's getting some love, and you can see her eyes light up when she gets snuggles! She gets along well with some other dogs but would prefer a calm household free of small children. Loud noises and fast movements can be scary for her. If you're looking for a calm companion come meet Loo Loo today!

Story
Meet Hermey – A Survivor with a Heart of Gold Hermey has every reason not to trust humans, yet he chooses love and kindness. This gentle soul came into our care after Fluvanna SPCA discovered he had survived an old ballistic injury—he had been shot in the neck and left to suffer. On top of that, he was severely malnourished, fighting for survival on his own. Despite everything he’s been through, Hermey has held onto his sweet and forgiving nature. Today, Hermey is stable and lives a normal life with just a few adjustments. Due to his past injury, he cannot wear collars around his neck and instead uses a harness for walks. But don’t let his history fool you—Hermey is just as ready for adventure and companionship as any other pup. He’s a bit nervous in new situations and may take a moment to warm up to new people, but once he does, he’s the most affectionate snuggle bug you’ll ever meet. Hermey enjoys the company of other dogs, but he’d do best with another gentle companion. He hasn’t been officially cat-tested, but his foster does have chickens, so there’s potential for a home with cats. More than anything, Hermey deserves a family who will show him the love and security he never had before. He’s been through so much—now it’s time for his happily ever after. Could you be the one to give Hermey the safe and loving home he deserves?

Story
This 7-8 -month-old hound mix is as sweet and soulful as they come. Born into an accidental litter, Tallulah spent her early months living in an outdoor pen—unfamiliar with the comfort of a home or the kindness of a gentle hand. When DDBBR was called in to help, she was the most sensitive of the bunch, clinging tightly to her rescuer as she took her very first trip to the vet. But Tallulah is nothing if not resilient. Since moving into foster care, she’s begun to bloom. With a soft approach, she’ll curiously come over for a little kiss on the cheek—or lay down and offer you her belly, a sign of her growing trust and gentle spirit. Tallulah had never met a dog outside her family before, but she quickly bonded with her foster’s resident pup and the two became fast friends. She can still be shy around new people, but all it takes is a calm voice and a kind touch to win her heart. Now learning the ropes of indoor life, Tallulah is doing wonderfully. Each day brings a little more confidence, a little more tail wag, and a few more glimpses of the happy, loving companion she’s becoming. She’s on her way to becoming a fantastic family dog—and we can’t wait to see her continue to “learn how to dog."

***FENCED YARD REQUIRED***"Hello World, I’m Jax and I’m ready for my forever home where I can be your beagle buddy!I’m a pretty great guy! I’m initially shy but am super sweet if you give me the space and a chance. Once we trust one another I’m a “snuggle on the couch all the time” kind of guy or a BBFF - that’s a beagle best friend forever!I’m content with life’s simple pleasures - a lap around the block, sniffs in the yard, a ball to throw to myself, and don’t forget a comfy couch with a blanket for my head. Oh, and if you’d scratch my ears, that’d be grand!Beagle, yep, got that down, or well at least part of it. I love following my nose on walks and around the house and in the backyard and well, I like sniffing everywhere. Though, I’m the quietest one you’ll ever meet, rarely barking or making a peep.Little kiddos can be overwhelming to me, but another doggo friend who would help me continue to gain confidence would be the dream. I’m passive and respectful, happy to oblige, and patient to win their friendship, my heart’s desire.I’m well on my way to being crate trained, house trained, and practicing good house manners. All that to say, I might need a quick refresher but am well on my way!I’m decent on a leash, loving to sniff the world and every blade of grass along the way. Cars, sirens, and other city noises can sometimes be startling, so I’d appreciate a kind soul who would help me learn the ins and outs of the big world around me."Check out 2 more videos of Jax on our youtube channel:https://youtu.be/FOBgRDpk_p4https://youtu.be/pAPLJ18FpMQIf you are looking for a beagle buddy and your dog needs a dog, reach out to FCAR about me, Jax, joining your chill fam!Jax's date of birth is 09/17/2019 and he weighs about 26 pounds. All of our rescues are rehabilitated and once healthy are available for an adoption fee of $95 for cats and dogs. Story
CHANCE MUST BE ADOPTED SOON AS HIS FOSTER MOTHER CANNOT KEEP HIM MUCH LONGER! Let me introduce Chance, one of the coolest dogs in our rescue! His foster mother has medical issues, and she wants him to find his furever home ASAP! This awesome guy was abandoned in the woods, alone in the middle of nowhere, when he was still a puppy – scared and left to die young. He is extremely sweet. Chance loves toys and playing fetch - playtime is high on his wish list. He is very friendly, never meets a stranger, and loves absolutely everyone he meets. He still has a puppy spirit and needs activity & exercise! He would be great for an active family that hikes or runs, as long as there are cuddles and belly rubs. His leash walking is progressing well. He gets along well with other dogs with proper introduced. He will be happiest as a loving family companion. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We'll transport to a destination near you every weekend, alternating between the Northeast and the Great Lakes.
