Story
We adopted Romeo from our local shelter when he was just a kitten, he is now 3 years old. Unfortunately, our family doesn’t have enough time anymore to give him the love and attention he deserves. Romeo lives with his sister Alice, who is also up for adoption. Romeo is the biggest sweetheart who loves to get pets and kisses. He is very friendly with strangers and is very extroverted. Romeo needs lots of attention and will demand you pet him, often stealing pets from his sister! Romeo does have a lot of energy, so he would need a loving owner to have time to play with him. We hope you can provide him a new loving home!

Story
*** Delilah is in a foster home. ***Buff tabby, medium hair, spayed female, born approx. 4/5/24, #19188Cats: must have a buddy Dogs: unknown Children: calm older kidsDelilah and her siblings were found living in a back yard in Mira Mesa; wanting to break the cycle of ongoing kittens, she took them in to get spayed and neutered. Since Delilah showed promise for becoming a good companion, she moved into the lap of luxury... aka foster care!Delilah is a very playful and energetic girl! She greatly enjoys playing with interactive wand toys with you as well as little fuzzy mice she can toss around on her own. Tall cat trees are mountains to be conquered and their prime observation plateaus enjoyed. Delilah can often be found snuggled up to one of her fellow foster kittens. While she can still be a bit wary on initial contact as her earlier instincts compete with her newfound knowledge of how good it is to be loved by people, Delilah doesn't mind being picked up, and she is progressively becoming more social the longer she is happily living with humans. Delilah adores having feline company and loves her foster friends, especially the smaller kittens near her age. She must have a welcoming kitty friend in her new home. Delilah hasn't met dogs or children. We think she would do best in a home that doesn't have very young or very rowdy kids; calm older kids who will engage with her and encourage her to become her best self should be fine. This sweet fluffball is looking for love. Will you give Delilah the chance to flourish in your home?

Story
*** Hamster, Kimmy, Georgie, Howie, & Art are in a foster home. ***Hamster: black & white bicolor, med. hair, spayed female, born approx. 1/31/24, #18980Kimmy: brown tabby & white, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 1/31/24, #18981 Georgie: brown tabby & white bicolor, short hair, neut. male, born approx. 1/31/24, #18982 Howie: black & white bicolor, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 1/31/24, #18983Art: gray tabby & white, medium hair, neutered male, born approx. 1/31/24, #18984Cats: need a sibling or new kitty friend Dogs: unknown Children: love gentle kids When a Good Samaritan was helping with a hoarding situation, she took in a heavily pregnant cat who soon gave birth these five adorable kittens. Their benefactor reached out to The Rescue House and the family moved into foster care. Now they are ready to find loving homes! They like to frolic and romp and tussle with each other and you seldom see one kitten scamper by without another in hot pursuit! They are very social and comfortable with people of all ages.---Hamster likes to walk around showing off her luxurious coat and that oh-so-fluffy tail... she's beautiful and she knows it! This curious love bug will quickly win your heart with her soft purr and desire to cuddle right up to her people for some pets and scritches and quite possibly a nap. Her slightly more dignified nickname is "Beauty"... for she is, inside and out.---Kimmy is a great reading and snuggling partner who loves when you dote on her. This lovely lass enjoys any kind of frisky fun, especially when she can showcase her superb climbing skills! (Her nose blaze is divided half brown and half white.)---Georgie is very human-oriented, sweet, kind, and smart: he will likely trail behind you to make sure he knows what you're up to and to be ready for his cherished cuddles. His purr is continuously running! Georgie likes the highest observation platforms of a tall cat tree. (His nose blaze is all white.)---Howie is the big guy and he's outgoing, confident, and a spirited sweetheart. His curiosity leads him into plenty of inquisitive adventures, so you'll find him almost anywhere if he's not lounging in his fleece hammock. Howie will go after any toy (wand, laser, sibling) with unadulterated glee!---Art l-o-v-e-s humans and is such a happy, snuggly, secure, and purr-filled little guy. Life is blissful when it's full of playtime and birdwatching and cuddles and whiskered kisses. His foster adores his gorgeous fuzzy ears and tail and says he's "exceptionally beautiful". She's biased, but it's true! They each must have a sibling (ideal!) or another welcoming kitty playmate in their new home. They are great with respectful children. They haven't met any dogs, but if introduced carefully we think they have the potential to do well with a cat-friendly canine.Which of these cuties will win your heart? It's going to be hard to choose!

Story
*** Jerry aka "Jer-Bear" is in a foster home. ***White & orange tabby, medium hair, neutered male, born approx. 6/15/18, #19140Cats: enjoys kitty friends Dogs: unknown Children: older respectful kids A Good Samaritan found Jerry at a trailer park; in talking with the park manager, she learned that he had shown up several months before. Jerry was in bad shape by then. His tail was blackened and bloodied, he had pneumonia, and infections were raging in both his mouth and his ears. Yet he was a very affectionate kitty, and he took all the needed medical treatments like a champ, even when he had to wear a cone for a month. His tail could not be salvaged and had to be amputated. Throughout, Jer-Bear was a gentle and cooperative patient; now he has fully recovered, is in spunky good health, and is looking forward to finding a forever home!Jerry has lovely light green eyes that can look sad, but he is actually a very happy guy! He will run up to people with a loud purr and jump up on the couch for nice long petting sessions. Jerry loves to lie on your chest and make grunting little meow noises; he'll put his nose to yours to nudge and say hello with a sweet kitty kiss. His foster likes to call him "Jer-Bear" because he reminds her of a cute polar bear with the way he walks combined with his new no-tail look. He especially likes his hind end to be scratched, and he will "wag" his little stump; he also rolls over for tummy rubs and is comfortable being carried. He's adorable. Jerry will enthusiastically play with balls and string toys, and he has quick jerky movements that contribute to his (creamsicle-colored) polar bear resemblance.Jer-Bear seems comfortable being around other cats: he is eager to play and will run up to another kitty stopping just short in a bid for attention, though he is respectful of cats who don't want to deal with him. We don't know his thoughts on dogs. He would likely do well around older children, though rambunctious younger ones might be a bit much.Jerry is a loveable fellow who is looking forward to a life full of snuggles, purrs, and playtime. Does your dream match his?
