Story
We adopted Romeo from our local shelter when he was just a kitten, he is now 3 years old. Unfortunately, our family doesn’t have enough time anymore to give him the love and attention he deserves. Romeo lives with his sister Alice, who is also up for adoption. We would prefer to have them adopted together as they are a bonded pair. Please check out her profile as well! Romeo is the biggest sweetheart who loves to get pets and kisses. He is very friendly with strangers and is very extroverted. Romeo needs lots of attention and will demand you pet him, often stealing pets from his sister! Romeo does have a lot of energy, so he would need a loving owner to have time to play with him. We hope you can provide him a new loving home!

Story
*** Beckett & Rogue are at our Petsmart Aero adoption center. ***Beckett: black & white bicolor, medium hair, neut. male, born approx. 3/31/20, #15448Rogue: black & white tuxedo, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 3/31/20, #15449Cats: **BONDED PAIR**, only cats Dogs: prefer not, but maybeChildren: tweens+ BACKGROUND: Beckett and Rogue first came to The Rescue House as tiny kittens just barely able to eat on their own. They were adopted and were loved to pieces, but their guardian is no longer in a position to care for them following an urgent move; she asked if we would help her special kitties find a more stable home where they can be just as loved.PERSONALITY: These “moo-mers” (don’t they look like adorable cows?) are so loving and sweet.---Beckett (aka Mr. Beck and Beckensworth) is a friendly and easygoing fluffball who loves pets, snuggles, and belly rubs. If you’re fiddling with your phone when he wants attention, he’ll push it out of the way to make sure your focus is on HIM! This big boy is hilarious to watch when he’s getting high on catnip and will run around chasing and playing with his toys. He also likes to crawl around under blankets. Outgoing and calmly confident, Beckett is a charmer… who likes kisses!---Rogue (from The Avengers!) is a sweet and sensitive kitty who is very friendly with her known people and prefers to observe strangers from a distance. She can startle easily with sudden movements or loud noises and she prefers to keep her paws under her own control, though she will seek pets when you’re relaxing. Rogue will give you head butts to encourage you to start or keep petting her and likes to settle against you on the couch or lie on top of you in bed. When she’s feeling really content, you may find her suckling on a blanket as her paws happily knead away.---Beckett and Rogue MUST be adopted together.COMPATIBILITY: The siblings are a devoted duo and prefer to be the only cats in their home. They have lived with a golden retriever and were okay to meh about that experience, preferring to avoid the canine, so any dogs would need to ignore them in turn. They would love to be your only fur-children! Calm tweens who respect their personal space and wishes are fine though they prefer not to live with younger kids or those who will pester them.Beckett and Rogue will make sure you’re never lacking for love and companionship!

Story
*** Cindy Bear is in our PetSmart Encinitas adoption center ***Cindy: gray/cream tabby, medium hair, spayed female, born approx. 2/15/24, #19541Cats: goodDogs: unknownChildren: calm older kids BACKGROUND: A Good Samaritan stumbled upon a hungry kitty and took her home. Much to her surprise, Cindy Bear was pregnant and delivered six kittens! Once they were weaned, she began giving the kittens away, which is when a Rescue House foster learned of the situation and wanted to help. Cindy Bear and her three remaining kittens moved into our care and are now ready to find their forever homes!PERSONALITY: Cindy Bear is a quiet-natured kitty who likes to be in your company. Once she adapts to a new place and people, she’ll follow you around and enjoys just chilling. Cindy Bear likes pets and especially chin and booty scritches. She’ll rub up against your legs. While she’s not super-keen on being held, she’s easy to pick up and handle, and she’ll settle near you so she is in petting reach. (A nice cat bed for lounging is appreciated.) Cindy likes her sturdy scratching posts so she can stretch out while she scratches, and she is also fond of wand toys. Sweet and docile, Cindy Bear is an endearingly gentle kitty.COMPATIBILITY: Cindy Bear is comfortable with other cats. She has not met dogs to our knowledge. Since she is a more reserved kitty who appreciates routine, a quieter home with calm older children would suit her better than a busy and active household.Cindy is ready to be your sweet and loving companion. Will you open your heart and home?

Story
*** Sonic is in our PetSmart Encinitas adoption center ***Sonic: black/gray tabby, medium hair, neutered male, born approx. 1/20/23, #19502Cats: mellow catsDogs: noChildren: adults/savvy tweens+ BACKGROUND: Sonic was found fending for himself in Orange County in an area that is known for a group of people who harm and sell cats for dog fighting. An independent rescuer took him in along with several other cats but needed help finding them homes; she asked if we could help.PERSONALITY: Sonic is an endearingly sweet boy who isn’t sure about the changes to his world but who clearly finds comfort in the reassurance that a loving human can give him. Sonic loves to be picked up and held close to your chest with your arms protective like a thundershirt. Pets and affection make him feel better and safer, and even when he’s camped out in a cozy cave he welcomes your company. Sonic isn’t fond of noisy or fast-moving toys, though he likes small stuffed ones. While he will need a person who is willing to give him that proactive time and encouragement to adjust and get his bearings, Sonic’s clear appreciation makes it easy to meet his needs and still bond with him. As your connection deepens, his confidence grows.COMPATIBILITY: Sonic gets along with other cats though is very submissive and would need companions who aren’t too dominant or aggressive toward him. He’d rather not live with dogs. Since he needs a calm and routine-oriented home, adults or savvy tweens+ would suit him best. Sonic will melt your heart with how he clings to the close connection you’ll build together. Will you open your heart to this sweet boy?
